Destiny 2 is a hard one to rate in my opinion. On one hand, you have the most beautiful shooter i've ever seen, visually that is, plus a good story and amazing gunplay. And on the other hand, you have a game that dries out really fast but tries to mask it with the weekly reset grind.

The state of the game is however the best it's ever been in, launch was definitely rocky and Curse of Osiris and Warmind didn't help to improve the fact that at that point there was almost nothing to do. That being said though, i still can't help but dislike Destiny 2 a bit, and that's because of the endgame grind. The cycle of trying to improve your Light level is what really threw me off, it was fun until i hit the level softcap of 950 and then the game pretty much died for me. You can no longer play the game normally, because if you want to progress further you'll have to play the endgame content, and at first i didn't complain, i even though it was fun, but after a while you begin to realize that you are stuck in a Limbo if you will, and that you are perpetually running nightfall strikes/crucible/gambit and raids in order to satisfy the weekly missions that you get. These of course reset each week on tuesdays but the rewards you get from them often only improve your light level by 1 or 2 and they are very superficial, because you can do most endgame content at level 950.

The game is fun though, and it's free so there is no reason to not give it a try.
