so, we actually managed to bully Sony into reverting it's planned changes, this is an auspicious day for us.

Oh and if you still want to refund the game, you should know that changing the game in such a way (forcing you to link an external account) AFTER the fact makes the game eligible for a refund on steam, as it made the game impossible to play in numerous countries.

Now we can grab some popcorn and watch as Sony attempts to save face with some clumsy damage control and sub-par PR

closed door in front of me
get my ai teammate to check the room behind said door with optiwand
he calls out as follows: "opening on the right, no traps on the door, room clear" (even though you can already see from outside that there's a continuous wall on the right)
Following that, i proceed to open the door and enter the room
the room opens to the left, immediatly in front of me are two hostages on the ground, and to the left are 3 suspects looking at me with AKs
10/10 would trust the AI again

i had high expectations from a supposed Dead Space successor, and boy oh boy was i disappointed.
the only good thing about this game is the art style/graphics: it looks beautiful and gory and
Everything else? Whack

performance? Horrible. Stuttering like crazy for a good half of my (admittedly short) playtime, now that might be the norm nowadays, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't expect better from an 60€, highly anticipated game.
Combat? Booooring. All you do is dodge once, MAYBE twice, strike a few times, then dodge again, until your opponent is dead, then you move on to the next one, rinse and repeat until they're all dead, or you die and get sent back to a checkpoint 10 minutes ago because manual saves do not seem to work. (there might be some variety further on, but i'm not risking my refund for for a maybe.)

In conclusion, so far this is a failed Dead Space successor, in both performance and gameplay. There might be something worth saving under this steaming pile of disappointment and crushed hope, but certainly not for 60€.

crashes when i try to start a new game, i tried typing /nolightfx in the launch options, didn't do anything.
For a game that was, according to the devs, 7 years in development, it feels kinda like cyberpunk all over again

extreme stuttering, especially while driving or aiming with a scope, and frequent crashes, not worth buying even on sale.
it's a shame really, this game had potential.

you'll spend most of the game desperatly trying to reach the next combat zone, only to either die outside or to be gunned down by a hacker.
the only thing this game does better than fortnite so far is the quality of their servers (scratch that, their servers are even worse that in early access, i'm just glad i don't have to deal with chinese hackers like the americans and australians servers do)
