The only game where you can date your surrogate sister, your teacher, your doctor, your best friend, the high school class president, and an alcoholic, and that's totally fine, but they won't let you date Ryuji.

Yes, I will.
And so should you. Will You Snail is a perfect example of a great "rage" game, it's challenging, but it's shifting difficulty shows that it isn't completely without mercy. It is only as difficult as you make it, and the harder you push against the game, the harder it's going to get. Be that through bashing your head through the same spike repeatedly in a mindless fury, or by blazing through the game so fast you end up triggering harder difficulties, some of which are very likely to trip you up, but only in ways that, despite the game literally working against you, always feel like your own fault, and rarely the games. (Well, aside from SOME instances, but those are generously rare.)

Overall a very fun game that I hope to come back to maybe 100% someday. But I'm not usually the completionist type so... Who knows. Regardless, I've had fun, and for this dev's first major game, I'm impressed with the level of effort, talent and skill put into it all, and I'm very interested in seeing what his next big project is.

If only more games could incorporate such wonderful gameplay and storytelling!

You know, when I bought this, I didn't think the title was literal. Probably just a joke, something to push the narrative and use as a jumping off point to lead into a much more diverse story, possibly leading us to break the "game" and have to fix it through increasingly ridiculous means, eventually leading to a story arc which would bring tears to my eyes, and yet keep me continuously entertained all throughout.

Unfortunately I was left disappointed in both the developer, and admittedly more myself for letting my hopes get up so high, when I realized the title was actually literal. There is literally no game here. I was sat staring at a blank screen for four hours with absolutely nothing happening, there was no gameplay, no interactivity, no characters, nothing. Just a blank screen, and 4 straight, solid, uninterrupted hours of self-reflection wondering where we as gamers have gone so wrong as to believe that this, posting something on steam for twelve whole dollars, making such a name that would make you intrigued only to slap you in the face of your own ignorance for not believing what is obviously a warning. I gazed into the eyes of the dragon, wearing armor made of raw pork and taunted his nature, expecting I'd be more than his dinner, and yet foolishly I disobeyed the warnings, the obvious risk, and threw myself into the gaping maw of Cerberus never to be seen again, losing my dignity, my pride... And twelve. Whole. Dollars.

11/10, would not play again.
