A week ago I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and the doctors have given me a year at best. I'm so glad I was able to play this masterpiece before I go. I don't know how many people will see this; but I recommend to you to buy this game if you do see it. Game-play, atmosphere, graphics, story... everything is masterfully crafted. Thank you Larian Studios for your game.

Pay like 6 dollars on ♥♥♥ and buy you and your friends this game. Great coop game to play if you enjoy grinding and left for dead style gameplay.

Feral did a wonderful job staying true to the Rome artstyle and theme. 4k looks great (Not as pretty as I wish it would be ((vegetation is really lacking imo)) and can't say it runs super well when entirely maxed out) but its leaps and bounds better than the first release and the squalor issue is finally fixed! In my 500 hours ive never finished a full campaign because of squalor and I finally can! And the workshop support my god! I can only imagine what the community content we're bound to see. Buy the game if you love RTS, HOIV, or any other Total War game. This is when the This is the best Total War game but with a huge upgrade.

And to address people talking about bugs, I have also noticed a few aswell, its unfortunate any exist at all considering they had a closed beta and most of these bugs should be fixed by now... Its important to keep in mind that the non-remaster has just as many bugs and glitches and IMO has been a way worse expierence (ai pathing is just as horrendus as it use to be idk why people think that a porting company would know how to rework ai and seems to be a majority of complaints) and has had issues suchs as crashing constantly for... moving mouse too fast, alt-tabbing, getting a message, existing. I've yet to get a crash and I've never been so happy to be able to alt-tab.

This games has given me so many fun filled nights and helped me during a depressive point in my life, theres nothing else like it in the RTS genre and Creative Assembly has yet to make a good Total War game (Other than Shogun 2) that lives up to the classic taste of a game such as Rome. Perhaps its the love of the artstyle and setting? I don't know but its keeps me enganged even though visually its incredibly outdated. If you are thinking about getting the new Rome Remaster. Do it, I would've glady paid $30 for all the enjoyment I've gotten out of it.

For how janky this game is it shouldn't be so good, and yet it is.

Like Rome Total War, just stripped down, which makes it less frustrating, but also a little less as fun, feels like a lack of troop distinct troop types. Would still recommend to any Total War lover looking for something with newer graphics and simpler game mechanics.

Recently I've been playing some vr walking simulators aka skryim/fallout, this makes traveling less tedious as you can watch your favourite shows at a moments notice. (Yes there is some setup required and thats quite tedious but its well worth it)

I've recently got Elite Dangerous and being able to watch Battlestar Galactic makes everything so much more intense.
This truly is an awesome plugin to have for VR.
