Although I think that Shogun 2 is a better-designed game, this is my personal favourite Total War. However, do NOT buy it at full price; €54.99 is way too much for a 4-year-old game. At a €15 price tag it doesn't nearly deserve the amount of hate it still gets, even after the worst issues have been long patched out.

Quite a fun game for the price point and considering how early it is in development. It's pretty clear that this game is a work of passion for the devs, so hopefully it won't be in Early Access forever. If you're interested in this type of game, make sure to buy it and support the devs.

A great game ruined by it's hyperactive fanbase. Try and go in 100% blind to get the best experience.

This game has the best hand-to-hand combat system in any game that I've played. Well worth the price, even the more expensive €40 Full Collection.
