Very fun and addicting gameplay. I can't explain it but there is something extremely satisfying about ripping demons apart like humanoid shaped bananas.

I was bullied into 100% this game. The art is so bad, also ♥♥♥♥ the lipstick and edge master achievements.

The short and simple, I love this controller. It's very nice and a lot more accurate compared to other controllers. Now, time for all the detailed stuff.

BUILD QUALITY AND OVERALL FEEL/LOOK:

Now this controller is all plastic, with a mostly matt finish with some gloss in the front. For $50 the controller doesn't feel cheap to me, maybe a bit light but by no means cheap. The buttons all feel really good and responsive to presses and use. The triggers I really enjoy with their duel-stage set up. The touch pads feel pretty nice and the jotstick works really well. The controller can be used in wired or wireless mode (though i perfer wireless because the added AA batteries used to power it for wireless use makes it a bit heavier and overall makes it feel better in the hands. The grips on it are curved upwards rather then downwards, this is so your tumbs have an easier time being pushed down onto the trackpads. I've heard many people say that this makes the controller to big to use but me personally like it like that because I have big hands so I had no problems with the larger sized controller. On the back of the controller are two "wings" that house the batteries (under them if you remove the back) and two buttons. I've heard people say they kept accidently pushing these buttons while playing, I had no such issue and can't really see how others do unless the death grip the controller. On the front as stated there are the start, select, steam button, face buttons, joystick, and the two trackpads. All of these feel and work fine, one trackpad (the one on the right) is mainly used for camera movment and is supposed to act as another joystick in that regard, the trackpad on the left is mostly usedfor D-pad related things. Under the left trackpad is the joystick and under the right is the face button. Many people have complained about the face buttons being under the trackpad, saying "it's to hard to reach" however I never had this problem since I use a Wii U Pro controller and those buttons are set up the same way so again, I personally didn't have a problem with this set-up. Overall in the hands, the controller feels pretty good once you get used to everything and how it is set up. My only real complaints is that I wish the face buttons were just a tad bit less mushy, this is a minor thing however because they again work without problem but thats just a personal thing. I also wish that the controller was all matt finish instead of mostly matt finish. Granted the way the controller was made you never really touch the glossy finish because of where your hands get posistioned, however it looks a bit odd to have a glossy front like it is, but again this is a minor thing.

FUNCTIONALITY:

Now I won't go into to much detail about all of the functions and things you can do with this controller, otherwise this review would be 23423 pages long. However this is where the controller really shines. See the point of the controller was to make it to where you can play PC mouse and keyboard games from your living room without using a mouse and keyboard. Well it does that pretty well, once you get used to it the controller works very well and is very reponsive. In the controller is a very nice haptic feedback system that makes it to where you dont lose track of your thumb while its on the controller. This works very very well, it might take you an hour or two to get used to it but once you do its very nice to be able to play mouse and keyboard games with a controller. Another thing this controller has going for it is how programable all the buttons are, you see, since you are converting a mouse and keyboard to a controller it requires you to bind and tweak the controlles a lot until you get the right settings. If you don't mind that and want to use a controller over a mouse and keyboard then this controller is perfect for you. To make things better there are lots of community bindings you can use and tweak around with so even the people who just wanna use the controller and start playing can. What I do is I find a community binding, then change the button layouts and functions as I need to and that has been working wonders for me.

COMPATIBILTY:

To put it simply, this controller works with every steam game. The only down-side is that to edit the bindings for games you have to be in big picture mode. I personally don't mind this but I do know people who don't like big picture mode and such. Now you can still use the steam controller in game without big picture mode and you can use whatever bindings you have for that game, but you won't be able to edit and change them without being in big picture mode. As for non-steam games you can even use this controller for that. Just add the shortcut to your steam libary enter big picture mode and you can set up bindings for that game. However if you do this you will have to play the game through steam in order to use the controller with the game.

CONTROLLER VS MOUSE:

Now the question I'm sure everyone will ask when they see this controller, "will this be able to replace my mouse and keyboard" ? Well that depends, if you are a very competitive gamer and play lots of CS:GO and other such games then no this is not better then a mouse and keyboard (as far as accuracy goes). However if you are the kind of person who wants to sit down, play some Bioshock or a game that won't need the very very accurate movements of a mouse then yes, I would reccomend this to you. Now as far as this being more accurate then other controllers I would say this one is far far better (once you tweak all the sensitivites to your liking). But when compared to a mouse the mouse is miles more accurate. But this controller does what it's meant to, to allow you to play PC games on a controller and it does it very well.

FINAL VERDICT:

While there is a lot of setup involved with this controller (if you can look past that) I would reccomend this to anyone who loves to use a controller and doesnt care much for a mouse and keyboard. Very fun to use, very customizable, pretty accurate for a controller, and doesn't take long at all for you to get used to how it is set up.
