This game is a horde shooter that actively punishes you for engaging hordes. Then the devs will tell you that you have a skill issue and should "bring the right stratagems" "shouldn't be using brainless playstyles" "if you can't deal with heavy armor without heavy armor piercing weapons, you don't deserve them" "use other stratagems, plenty of options if you look" Developer actively being a contrarian clown. When I have 5 Bile Titans and 9 Chargers, what exact stratagems should I be using Mr. Arrowhead? Kiting a mission for 30 minutes is NOT FUN AND WILL NOT EVER BE FUN.

I wish Steam had a neutral rating... Really really loving this game, its DCS without the stress.
BUT - default escalation map needs to be FAR FAR bigger. And AI accuracy and abilities could really benefit from a balance pass. Shard Corvettes are really busted right now as well, they have infinite SARH missiles....

Sick of the corporate shills. The core of the game is great and after about another year of patches this will be THE definitive city building/city-sim on the entire market. But right now, on launch day, it is extremely buggy and not comfortably playable yet on 'current' gen hardware. Do not reward PDX or CO for their egregious launch state - they shipped a half baked product and deserve all the baggage that comes with it.

The tank (Strv m/41-S/I) is literally just a worse, uptierd version of the tech tree m/41. It gets no damage APDS, and 2 other aweful rounds you'll never use because at 2.7 they can't pen anything. Literally cant pen nothing without APDS.

Horrible pack, horrible tank. Just grind the tech tree version and avoid giving ♥♥♥♥♥-jin any money - they sure AF don't deserve any.

Just buy Battlefield 4, this game is absolute garbage.

I would like to preface that I am a PR vet, I've played that game for years and still continue to play it to this day. But the new ICO update has made the game more akin to chore than a "teamwork oriented military simulator."

It just isn't fun to play anymore. Teamwork is still exceedingly rare, and now less people seem to want to communicate. Not one aspect this update was supposed to address have actually tangibly come to pass. Firefights are not longer, and are just incredibly frustrating to be in. Games are however longer, simply because the movement speed is slow now and most teams refuse or are unable to use mechanized tactics. The suppression is seriously overkill, sending me reminiscing to my BF3 days of having vaseline smeared over my face.

As much as I love the core concept of the ICO update, a minority of players are the ones that shoehorned this update. At least 70% of the playerbase is casual players, they loved the game pre-6.0, as I did, and simply wanted better performance and more factions/maps.

Anyways I could go on and on, and frankly I just don't care. The game I love is gone. The developers and community just tell me to "go play CS:2 or BF2042 filthy casual" since I bought the game that was marketed, and CONTINUES to be marketed as a mixing point of arcade and simulation military game. It is not anymore, and it is all the worse for it. So I'm just gonna uninstall and come to terms with the fact that 1736 fun hours of my life are now completely and forcibly over - and that I will not get one more fun hour out of this game. Played the beta, game was amazing during the beta. Now they added MOWAS2 style restrictions to firing and made the accuracy of everything absolutely asinine. Using artillery or any tank is literally just pray-to-play, because your shot is either going to hit what your aiming at or land somewhere near Mars.

During the beta these problems didn't exist - the game was unique, everything was relatively accurate and you didn't have to spam 24 122mm HE shells to hit a squad of infantry less than 80m in front of the gun.
