Obscenely excellent game but I cannot recommend it at this time.

It is being sold all over steam and has been playable since Feb without a Playstation account (PSN). It is going to soon be required to have a PSN account to play and there are places wherein this is purchasable on steam but a PSN is not able to be created. This will lock out players long after their purchase or refund window. That is unacceptable.

The SNOY Major Order was a really new take, voting in real life really brought the game together.

There's the foundations of a good game here, but the polish and content just isn't there yet. If they dropped support for the game right now every purchaser deserves a refund, it is currently being borne aloft by the promise of development and growth from Creative Assembly like they had for the Total Warhammer 1 and 2.

A couple specific examples, the current game has technologies for factions that give useless perks, like leadership on an unbreakable unit or adding vanguard to a vanguard unit. It also has straight up mis-coded or mis-labelled interactions like that vanguard tech currently gives all your Khorne units vanguard and Khornes highest level corruption manifestation doesn't destroy the local settlement as it says but rather razes your own capital regardless of where your army is.

Once the work is put in to clean up this game it could be an excellent purchase, until then it's fundamentally disfunctional.

I will update this review if this gets the support it deserves.

Do not look anything regarding this game up before playing it.

Legitimately want to replay this game for the first time again, it's a brilliant experience. Watching others play it for the first time is a great way to recapture the magic but is not the same.
