ESO is a game that should have gotten me hooked the moment I launched the game. Exploring one of the greatest fantasy universes filled with interesting landscapes, insane lore and environments that hold your attention. ESO doesn't even begin to scratch that itch.

I want to start with what I do like about the game as there are elements that I really do like. ESO has fantastic build opportunities that allow you to spec into multiple Sub-class trees that come with your primary class, as an example you can be a sorcerer that uses daedric summons with strong lightning abilities or a Dragonknight that softens up targets with magic abilities before diving in with a massive club. This in theory should encourage you to make loads of characters to experiment with different builds but generally I felt limited by the amount of skill points I had access to and ended up using a few powerful spells I liked.

Some of the books littered around the landscape tend to be fairly interesting and have good writing it's just a shame that it's difficult to read them as enemies around you respawn and pester you while you read. As far as I know there is no way to be able to read these at a later point either.

I also like how ESO keeps crafting relevant at all levels by introducing daily writs that grant decent gold, Skill XP and materials.

That's where what I like about the game ends however as the gameplay experience feels dull and repetitive.

I want to start with the biggest issue I had from the get go which is that ESO has the worst new player experience I've ever had in any MMO.

The tutorial has some of the bleakest voice acting you ever heard and doesn't really tell you much about the setting or what you're meant to do. (When ESO first released they had an older tutorial as part of the main story that is so much better and is a wonder why they decided to change it.)

Levelling feels incredibly slow where even after finishing about 10 dull fetch quests I was just barely level 6. If you can slog on past the dreadful first 15 levels you unlock dungeons and a second hot bar which actually started to give me some hope as I started to enjoy the game a lot more.

That was until I loaded into my first dungeon where I was paired with 3 other late game players between Level 1200-2000 that completely blasted through the dungeon meaning I couldn't enjoy the paired quest or participate in the dungeon as monsters were killed in seconds as I was trying desperately to catch up, this got better as I levelled and when I was paired with players of a similar level it was quite enjoyable.

My experience with the PvP game mode was mixed, it was honestly quite fun playing objectives with team mates while skirmishing with players, Chaosball being especially fun. Though annoyingly you need to come second or first to get your daily reward (I assume to stop leeches). It becomes frustrating when you want to get your daily and do other activities however.

The biggest factor that killed enjoyment for me once I got past the new player experience was that zones are just incredibly dull, uninspired and boring. Even newer zones like Vvardenfell which were better still felt dreary and non-immersive. The scale of the world feels completely off with some doors, pathways and placed object being excessively large and main roads and paths seeming small.

Movement and mounts feel incredibly clunky too. Running and jumping seems to magically halt all forward movement as you awkwardly slide down collision boxes and mounts are irritable to use when you accidentally hit block or an ability and need to remount.

I do really want to like this game, its elder scrolls! Although the issues I've faced so far are killing my enjoyment of the game. As of writing this I have a character that is level 48, I'm going to power through to max level and see if end game content is where the enjoyment is.

My experience so far has mostly been negative however. Unless Bethesda plans on improving the new player experience I don't recommend you give this game a go. If you truly need your Elder Scrolls fix hold out for Skyblivion, Skywind or Skyrim beyond or give the older Elder scroll games a replay. I guarantee you'll have a better experience.

Dishonored in quite possibly the most innovative and enjoyable single player game I've played since I was a kid. Why?

Corvo, the empresses bodyguard turned "Assassin" by a group of loyalists that wish to put Emily, the late empresses daughter, in charge of the kingdom. How you do that however is compleatly up to you.

You will get missions to go Eliminate targets and you can do this by Killing them or "Removing" them if you are the "I can't be bothered to use stealth!" type of person you can run in there willy nilly and stab your target or you can be more creative. Poison, choking them out and throwing them into a pack of hungry rats, or using your magic to send them to the moon Or on the flipside, you're the type of person that likes stealth and to be as non-leathel as possible you can find alternitive means to eliminating your targets.

The way you play greatly affects the outcome of the story

This game is increadibly innovative. Good line of sight on guards, fun and interesting ways to kill and neutrilize people, amazing story with charaters you get attached to, combat that makes you think of how you're going to tackle groups of enemies, whilst still being a challenge to the player.

So far I've played this game through to the end 3 times and every playthrough has been different.

If you're browsing through steam for a good game to play at a reasonable price, £7.99 at the time of writing this, I highly recomend this game.

This game has made me have :-

-Trust issues (Mad phantoms)
-Anger issues (Chuggers, gankers and pimptiff sullyvan)
-Paranoia (Invaders man.. they.. they live in the boxes man.)

Pros :-

- Amazing combat in both PvE and PvP
- Imersive story that will grab you instantly
- Infuriating bosses that will make you their ♥♥♥♥♥
- Wide variety of weapons and magic
- Thousands of hours of game play
- Amazing community

Cons :-

- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BOSSES THAT MAKE YOU THEIR ♥♥♥♥♥
- Unbalanced weapons such as Long swords and rapiers *Cough* Dark sword, Estoc *Cough* and painfully bad magic which does close to no damage.
- From Soft arn't good with the community. Softbans to undeserving players, saying poise is working when it's evidentily not and, like I said before, unbalanced weapons.
- Some of the covenants arn't working well such as the way of the blue, covenant which summons you in to a world to save the hosts ass.
- Can only have a max of 10 charaters
- You will die.. a lot.

Conclusion :-

Dark souls is hard as ♥♥♥♥ but is the most rewarding game I have ever played. Yes it has flaws such as balance issues. bugs and poor devs but if you want a game that will make you work for your glory. Fun, fast paced and filled with diverse builds Dark Souls III is worth every penny.

Done reading this review? Good. now engage in the world of dark souls where you'll find Jolly Co-operators, infamous invaders and stellar story.

Spent 2 hours hiding in a bush for prey to approach.
Seen prey was happily harvesting rocks.
Surprise chain attack, he was mine.
Brought him home, named him fluffy.
Gave him some "special" treatment.
Turns out my little friend likes whips and chains.
Go gather resources, my friend was gone
I was lonely, sad no one to keep me company.
See player off in distance. It was slave!
He brought some friends, oh dear oh dear.
Managed to kill one of them before. No. My slave had me.
I shouted with glee that I had found my bound friend again.
Only I was on the other side of the bargin.
I was the slave.
The whiped my chained me and gave me the "special" treatment.
There was 5 my arse was sore.
Next day the steel men had gone.
It was me and my slave. together at last.
He let me go and shoved me in a box.
But what I found below me but them in shock.
A ROCK! A ROCK!
3 to be precise
made them sharp and cramed them up my bum.
10 minutes later my slave had appeared.
Little did he know that I was to be feared.
I yanked the rock out of my arse.
Roped my friend and brought him home.
Only this time.
I was prepared.
I prepared the guillotine, he would not be spared.
The steel men had returned again.
Only this time shock enshened
OFF WITH HIS HEAD. I shouted with anger
Down came the steel so cold and sharp.
and off came slaves head falling on his friends.
They watched in horror gasped and fled.
I had won. I was free from them.
Thats why you have butt rocks in there.

Starbound is a fun sci-fi 2D platformer similar to Terraria in a way. Starbound is based on a race related quest ect. humans are trying to find a new home but as you search the galaxy and explore differn't planets you will come across structures (towns, dungeons ect) these can contain loot to help you go on. Starbound is in beta now so more sontent will be added (Its is stage 1 so it will be quite buggy) I would recomend this to anyone who loves to explore and find things out about the game.
