The game for older players has some learning curves, they changed the simplistic nature of the first, still good though but wow the campaign is very short. I beat it in under seven hours. If you really tried you could do it much faster. After learning the mechanics the game is very easy. The campaign felt more like a tutorial than it did the game, I recommend don't spend full price on it, if on sale get it then.

Honestly if you like the GBA versions of Castlevania you'll like these. Why they included Dracula X as opposed to the actual Rondo of Blood still confuses me, its wasn't a good port of the game back then, nothings changed,

As for new people looking to get into this, be it previous Castlevania players who have not played these or new to the genre players. Well if you can get Castlevania Symphony of the Night some how, try that, its a more polished complete version of what these games should have been. If you end up liking Symphony Of The Night, you'll like these games. None of them will blow your socks off, it wasn't til the 3rd installment on the GBA that they got it right enough that it is closer to the enjoyment and playablity of Symphony of The Night.

For those who enjoy metroidvania games, these are good-ish but not great. When making the first two GBA games all hands weren't on deck, so they are lackluster in their own ways, the third installment is far better than the first two but there are better metroidvania type games.

Unless you're a hardcore Castlevania fan the 20 dollar price tag isn't worth it, on sale for half of that I would agree with.

If the controls of Witcher 1 and 2 were a problem for you, Witcher 3 is the game for you. I had issues with the control scheme of both games, so I stopped with them after the tutorial. My friend said Witcher 3 has better controls, and it does by far. As for the game itself it is a fun open world RPG with a solid story and thus far I don't feel lost having not played the first two concerning the story, they do a good job on filling you in without slamming you in the face with it. Its worth buying.

The first part of this review is for the previous players of the Civ games, namely 5. The second part of this review is for new players.

For existing players of the franchise they didn't in so much change the core game as they altered a ton around it. It might be jarring at first, but allow the tutorial lady to guide you through it and you should be good. I was stubborn and disabled her at first and ended up not liking the game at first, after a while I tried it with her help and it worked out wonderfully. They also altered the art direction both in how vibrant Civ 5 was, to the lack of vibrancy on Civ 6 the more cartoony character models excreta excreta. They added more to the game play so it is a fresher take on the game, in an attempt to make it less beginner mode like Civ 5 was and more contender with other strategy games, although it definitely is a good beginner game.

Now for new players. I would recommend initially to start off with Civ 5, it is an easier game over all and allows you to dip your toe into the the world of strategy games. With that said if you choose to get Civ 6 you might have a slightly harder time but i don't think it would be that much of a determent. There is also the cost differences. The complete game of Civ 5 is usually on sale, its done, no changes to be made that will alter the game play, Civ 6 is still usually full price and is not completely done due to them still making and selling DLC.

Hope this review is helpful to those new and old.

The game is a wonderful metroidvania type game, the soundtrack really adds to the game bringing ambiance. It is not an easy game nor is it super hard, its a game that rewards you for going out of your way to explore the world fully. Play with headphones or a really good speaker setup to get the most out of it.

Its a great collection of games if you're a Castlevania fan. They should have added Symphony Of The Night though to fully make it worth the full asking price of 20 dollars, and maybe the soundtracks to some of the games. Why they added Kid Dracula and not Rondo Of Blood is beyond me. All in all they put out a game full of good titles and is worth getting if you're very much a fan of Castlevania. If you're just wanting to try out the old titles wait for a sale.

If you like real time strategy this game is definitely worth it, on sale. I say that because this game can become VERY pricey if not on sale. With that said you can micro manage as much as you want or don't but you'll enjoy becoming a global power and learning along the way. Its a learning curve though it is not a game that you can just pick up and master in a few hours, you have to learn how to play it, learn its intricacies. Learn what nations act which way, what best way to go about the game.

The music in it is very enjoyable too, the graphics even though its an RTS are real nice. One gripe about the game and its not so much about the game is make sure if you are playing multiplayer with a friend that you and your friend got solid internet connections because it slows how quick you can make the game go. I am by no means a great player at it, and it does frustrate me but its still a great game and my friend who is amazing at it also has fun so good player or not you'll love it.

With that being said, the complaints about the DLC and pricing are valid. You do not need all the DLC if you know someone who has it and been playing a long time look at their DLC you'll get the idea of the mandatory ones. The empire building DLC is mostly what you'll want to get to improve the game, with some stuff in the DLC making the game tedious and adding more problems for you building your nation properly. Although it does make for more realism, but not real necessary like for example, Estates. Its just another thing in the game that you have to appease or you get a negative modifier in the game. As I said above the game is worth playing and learning, the replayability is off the charts, especially with the updating they do, which leads to another gripe. If you mod the game, your mods get out of date often due to how often they update the game but the vanilla game is a great game regardless.

Would I recommend most definitely.

When you've done almost all of what you can do, the game gets boring. It is a great game if you like grindy kinda pay to play games. I got bored with it due to just got tired of the grinding, but I will come back to the game because it is a good game.
