What a roller coaster this Halo has been since I've played it in beta.
A lot has changed. Good or bad, you decide based off of what you're looking for in Halo Infinite.

I think Halo Infinite is finally in a good spot for anybody to pick up and try out. With Firefight being added, the game is now accessible for anybody who wants to play to jump in. PvE was so quintessential to be added in, and it's paying dividends towards player enjoyment. Sometimes, a PvP match is not what you need at the end of the day, and now that option is here for all.

The micro transactions are still ludicrous. 343 has made an excuse to bump up the prices on bundles that were discounted, because of cross-core coatings/helmets having been finally added into the game. Player expression is still heavily gated behind a paywall, but there's somewhat more to offer with some of the cross-core changes. Keep in mind, however, customization won't deter what the game fundamentally is: a movement based arena shooter that could potentially give you hours of playtime.

The Campaign is something I think that should be experienced if you're a previous Halo fan, but keep in mind that it won't be anything like the Halo's of old. If you go in with the expectation that the story's going to be as good as Halo 2, you're not going to be very pleased. If you think it's going to be as bad as Halo 5 however, you will be pleasantly surprised, because I don't think it's that bad as Halo 5. It's a good Campaign that serves it's purpose well, but still has some flaws. These flaws I don't think heavily detract from the initial experience, but will come to light once you're done with the Campaign, and you start to think about what could've been. What I think Halo Infinite's Campaign does heavily well is the rendition of Master Chief. Chief's representation in this Campaign is fantastic, and it's awesome to see Chief having some justice after how he was written in Halo 5.

With the rough start Halo Infinite had, it's good to see it in a much better spot. I'm still putting in hours and I don't think I'm going to be stopping anytime soon.

With the most recent 1.6 update and after viewing Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, my desire has been reignited in me to finally play this game. After patiently waiting for so long, especially with the issues I've had trying to play this game in the past, I'm having a wonderful experience and a blast of a time. Even with my current playtime, it still feels like I haven't even dented the surface of what there is to do.

I won't forget the crummy launch and what kinds of in-game issues we had to deal with. However, the experience has been worth it so far, and to anybody who's been waiting to play the game until it felt a bit more, "finished"? I think now's a good time to dive into Night City and start your journey. Plus, there are excellent mods to install to adjust the experience of your play-through(s) if you feel or felt like something is missing.

Well, years later and I caved in to buy this game.

This game holds a special place in my heart, as a "guilty pleasure". I only bought it and will keep this game because it's something that has always made me laugh. "It's so bad, it's good", if you will. Despite the flaws, BIG MITCH is a favored component of this game, because he's funny to me and I could see his character work in this universe if he was written better. I also decided to buy this game and experience it because of the current developers (the people who made the game, not the guy who took the money and ran) trying to fix the game which has interested me. I can definitely say there has been progress in fixing the colossal issues plaguing this game (mainly how the game feels to play and how progression feels throughout), but there's two underlying issue within the game that needs to be fixed if HDTF wants to really get better.

The story.

HDTF's story is pointless and confusing. With the obvious inspirations derived from MGSV, the story suffers with trying to be a almost carbon copy of that. Alongside this, GMan's inclusion within the game is used too much. GMan's presence should be more foreboding and in the background, then taking center stage. It feels like GMan made a deal with a lot of the characters in this story, even though it was pointless to even make these deals in the first place. If Mitchell was supposed to be used in order to allow Gordon's progression in Half Life's main story, why wouldn't GMan have just used him in the first place? There wasn't any necessary reason to have a convoluted plot with Adam, Sasha/Boris, Mitchell's "curse", it's all pointless. Mitchell should be the only character interacting with GMan if anything, and GMan should have his intentions be more mysterious with involving himself with Mitch. GMan's intentions should only be revealed at the end, when everything comes together to surprise the player.

This game doesn't feel like a Half-Life title.
HDTF needs to try to make the experience feel more like it's in Half-Life, rather than a modern shooter. I would suggest taking out cutscenes, remove ADS, remove leaning, and removing the "advanced movement" for a start. I think taking those out and really looking into what made Half-Life function at it's core (HDTF doesn't have to be a spectacular title with these changes, but whoever's making it should consider the changes), and allowing the player to be more immersed in the world/universe, rather than being the very thing the world/universe revolves around. Big Mitch isn't that pinnacle of a character to have the events of Half-Life be moved by him. He'd have to actually hunt down Freeman, in order to have that kind of significance.

Do I recommend it? Well the thumbs down says no, but not because I'm saying the universal "it's crap don't buy it". It's because this game is definitely not a good game, but the potential is there with the current people striving to make it better (however relevant that is now, I'm always out of the loop lol). If you do decide to get it though? $9.99 isn't $24.99 like this game was on launch. You'd be paying ten dollars for what's basically roaming around GMod maps, with GMod AI killing scenarios, but this has cutscenes and a story. If you want to try to speedrun it, for the comical relief that you beat HDTF in under 2 hours for the refund? I'd suggest doing research on the proper paths to beat this game quick, because you'll be figuring out where to go than naturally progressing through the game. Think of every mission with having a navigational puzzle.

That's all I got. Ty for reading.

Absolutely fantastic sequel to the first game. Even by itself, this was an exceptionally enjoyable experience that is free for everyone!

I was heavily invested with Entropy: Zero's story with the first game, and I loved it to bits with this perspective in Half-Life: Being the Combine.

This game improves everything that I could say was lacking or confusing in the previous title, and it does more! I was thoroughly impressed with the story and details of this game. I implore anybody who likes Half-Life or just a good story, to give this game a try!

Halo.

Back when I was really young, impressionable, and had imagination that rocketed up to the stars, I saw an ad for Halo 2 on my TV. Immediately, I had an interest to wanting to play it. I never got to even get into Halo till I got my first Xbox, during the month of Halo: Reach dropping. Being gifted the Legendary Edition of it from my Father, I had so much temptation and hype built up to this moment. After playing Reach for many months and finally getting Xbox Live, I decided to get the others and experience the entirety of this amazing franchise.

Halo's in a rough patch at the moment with the uncertainty of Infinite's release and the trust issues with 343, but I will still have much love and wonder towards these games. It inspired me for years to come and got me through really rough points in my life. I love Halo, and I recommend anybody picking up MCC to experience these incredible games.

Ok so here's the deal with Borderlands 2:

It's awesome.
It's funny.
It has good characters.
The gamplay is smooth.
YOU GOT MR. TORGUE.
The dialogue is very comedic.
Psycho's.
YOU GOT KRIEG, THE POOP TRAIN CONDUCTOR.
Handsome Jack is a villain you will both dearly love and hate.
The game is challenging.
The characters you play as can become Ultimate Badasses.
You can replay this game without getting bored.
And you get loot that will make you feel special.

Oh and by the way,
did I mention that the loot in this game is the endless amount of
guns that you can get? Yeah, Borderlands 2 is really awesome.

Buy the GOTY, perfect way to start off when playing this game.

"Don't have too much fuuuuun!"

For those of you who like a fast paced and fun zombie survival game, I recommend that you purchase this game. It has many gamemodes inside for you to experience and many good campaigns to see how you will survive the apocalypse.

Team Fortress 2.

Way back in the year of 2007, I remember watching an advertisement for a bundle of games titled as the "Orange Box." Eventually getting a run down yet functional computer around the beginning of 2009, I had bought the Orange Box before hand and played, multiple times, the other 4 games that were placed in the package on console. However, one game that I never got to experience the fun of and challenge of mastering, was Team Fortress 2.

Starting around 2009, I have always loved this game. I'm still stacking hours upon hours of playtime to this day.

Team Fortress 2, for me, has been one of the most exciting and intense FPS's that I have played. As soon as I got really into TF2, nothing has been able to compete with the pedestal that I put this game on.

Team Fortress 2 did not need to impress me on its impactful and obscenely realistic visuals, an over the top exposition filled lore; it did not need that at all. Team Fortress 2 delivers a fun experience just from the gameplay and the feeling you get with getting better each time you play. Also, lets not forget, the very simplistic character designs that have developed throughout the years into something extremely dynamic.

Never once, out of all these years that I have played Team Fortress 2, did I feel it being dull or repetitive. While, when I have played most FPS's or anything around the genre, I would usually fry myself out and always retreat back to the game that is constantly able to give me a new experience within a match of playing. Even though I have, considerably, remembered most of the maps to heart and I have seen plenty of combat scenarios, it still constantly refreshes me when I play.

Team Fortress 2 is one of the best games I have ever played. I never regret a single minute of playing it and I will continue to play TF2 until I pass. Thank you Valve for giving me a game that makes my hobby of gaming always bright.
