Good Game but gets quite repetitive.

Seems hard at first but in little time you'll be doing speed runs like others to get your name on the hall of fame.

Hopefully, Capcom will eventually remove all of the cheated times on the leader boards with 0 second times.

Pros - Good Game / known issues are moddable / easy achievements
cons - Repetitive / leader board cheats

FF13 is a great little game. for £10
I had this on my PS3 but unfortunately that broke and i was left FF13less, but now i can play it again. Awesome.

Good points
  1. minimum of 50 hrs gameplay, over 120hrs for the completionists out there.
  2. Looks fantastic even at 720p
  3. Amazing Audio tracks
  4. Good Voice Acting
  5. consistent difficulty
  6. no Androgenous characters
  7. interesting story line
Bad points
  1. Stutters after cutscenes for a few seconds
  2. Doesn't recognise my Gt630m, uses my 4000Hd instead
  3. comes with 20 Gb of additional not optional japanese audio; i dont want.
  4. No penalty for dying during combat, just restart right where you left off.

X2 is very complex, and overwhelming when you start to play. The learning curve from X:btf to X2 is huge.
(Xbtf wasn't exactly easy to play at the start)

It'll take several hours and lots of time in the training menu before you feel confident and start to really enjoy it.
This was the first X game i played when it was released, I accidently ejected from my ship, couldn't get back in it, then put X2 down and was scared away from the series.

However 13 or so years later i tried again. And the verdict is............. I LOVE IT.
freelancer held a special place to me, but after learning X, freelancer seems rubbish.

I would seriously recommend playing X:btf first!
Also this game looks so amazing after playing the first one.
The biggest bonus is all the information i wrote down on the first game (like a universe map) meant i was able to find the places X2 was trying to send me really quickly, and i knew what the factories required and where to find it instantly, which was a god send.
Not having to learn all the tradable resources and factory requirements, aswell as controlling the ship was a huge weight off my shoulders.

FF7 is a game of split opinions. If you have never played it or any newer FF, you will love it. Lots to explore, fun side quests, some rather amusing scenarios you'll chuckle at, and a dark story to follow. The battle system is dated but very easy to learn but can be made interesting through 'sneaky' materia(magic) combinations. It is a fantasy world and sometimes things just seem to defy logic, just remember its japanese game things will be strange.

If you have played this game, then purchasing this version has nothing new for you unless you're N/A region. and even then its 2 optional bosses. everything else is the same. just looks nicer. doesn't play faster isn't harder, and some of the dialog appears changed.

Difficult to learn, Impossible to master.
This truly is the best stategy game i've ever played and still do.
Will you be a wealthy/Smart civ? A religious zealot? A Trader? A Cultralist? A Warmonger or Someone Everyone else hates a little bit less than your biggest rival?
PROS.
There is NO set stategy to win this game, and you have to be able to adapt to a developing world.
Soooo many choices of what to build, research, Influence, destroy.
CONS.
Other Human players (Either Suck at this game or don't understand it)
Spies were better in warlords.
City Govenor will prioritise scientists over other great people, Its really annoying.

War is NOT the only answer. i've won many cultrual, space, world/religious leader victories and never killed a single unit even with aggressive AI On Immortal. You bribe others to go to war for you!
Dont get me wrong i like a good war but if its not in your interests or you have nothing to gain avoid it.

People complain of broken deplomacy and stacks of doom.
On lower difficulties, deplomacy is Frustrating, as you'll be way in advance of the AI and it'll demand unreasonable trades and requests, that you WILL refuse, and as a result so and so declares WAR.
On higher difficulties the trades and demands are still weighted towards the AI but its NOT AS ridiculous and you're more inclined to take them.
You CHOOSE your friends. You CANNOT please Everyone.
As for 'stacks of doom' catapults rip them too pieces.

MULTIPLAYER
LAN = amazing, a real challenged if you opponent is good.
ONLINE = lots of issues.
Staging room is fairly vulgar due to the same few people.
Ragequits all too common.
Multiplayer is poor but Only due to the ameturism of your opponents, and i'm yet to actually see a winner of a game.
Nearly all of the players you come across are fairly weak and use the same stategy again and again.
Pick the Romans, get iron, build pretorians and go to war. its the same with any other race that gets an early unit that owns.
Nobody will allow tech trading as its "unfair" apparently, Truth is, that warmongor who set up the game doesn't want a challenge of facing longbows early.
Usually someone states they have infantry in x amount of turns and everyone else quits saying "good game, you win, i forfeit" even though i was 8 turns from a cultrual victory. Not that i'm bitter about it or nothing but it was only 1390ad and i was 8 turns away from Victory that no-one saw coming, and was then robbed of it. 2hrs of my time for nothing.

After wasting months of my life on Civ 4, i was knicker wettingly excited when i learned of 5. I rushed out, bought it and thats where the excitement ended.
I find this game incredibly slow, my computer isn't exactly bad, it has an intel I5 4th gen, nvidia 630, 8 gig ram a ssd and still this game takes forever to expend a turn.Even on turn 1
As for better graphics..........meh! i dont really agree. the landscapes harder too read, and in alot of ways the mini map is super basic.
The animations of the AI is better, Montezuma looks terrifying but that is where my praise ends.
Having only 1 unit per tile is frustrating. it puts you off ever going to war and the idea of playing onine, and waiting for someone else to spend 20 mins moving units, No thanks.
I Prefered civ revolutions over this, that was a dumbed down version of civ designed for console gamers with short attention spans, but at least it was quick.
