I have lots of positive comments to give to PD3. It's a beautiful amalgamation of PD2 and PD:TH, with so much potential to grow upon their core concepts into something beautiful.

But.

I will pass on writing those thoughts out and instead leave a negative review until further notice, because always online DRM and server-based solo lobbies in a game with singleplayer capabilities is ridiculous.

Call me old fashioned, but I'm not always online. I had a lot of fun with PD2/PD:TH because when I didn't have access to a network, I was still able to run fun solo challenges.

Maybe I'm biased because I have lots of solo playtime in PD2 and PD:TH, but I shouldn't need to connect to a server to run a solo heist.

Why should I have to worry about ping when I'm playing by myself?

Should I have to worry about a connection outage during a heist I'm playing, once again, by myself?

And what if I simply want to play the game offline? Maybe I'm traveling and decide I want to play a game (which a fair amount of people do, myself included). Well, PAYDAY 3 is out of the question.

I'm so excited for what PAYDAY 3 has in store. I can't in good conscience recommend any game that condones anti-consumer practices, though.

Great game with an even better, albeit goofy, storyline.
Definitely pick this one up. It's even better with friends.
You can play this game for about forever and not get bored.

Have finished this game pacifist, have finished it ghost pacifist, and have done this without skills.

This games replayability goes down after you beat in all ways possible. However, during the time you are doing it, it's great.

This is one of the better DLC's for PAYDAY 2 as of recent. Better than Goat Sim/5
