A simple indie horror.

Pros:
-Easy to understand the mechanics.
-Decent story pacing up until the very end.
-A few decent surprises to keep you paying attention.
-Fair sound design and decent graphics.
-Developers have a sense of humour.
-Cheap.

Cons:
-Jump function has literally no use or reason to be there.
-Certain puzzles are pure guess-work and could benefit from some kind of hint/cryptic guidance to provide an 'aha, I got it' feeling rather than a 'oh, got lucky that time' one.
-Some loose ends that could really have used a bit of tying up in a clear manner, story-wise.
-Player Character detailed as some kind of clever bad ass with an impressive skill set. Very little game play reflects these traits; ex: surely an ex-Marine would be able to kick down a flimsy cabin door rather than have to hunt for keys.
-Several elements, both graphic and story, feel like they weren't entirely thought through in terms of sense or function.


Overall, I think the game is OK, especially considering it was made by a team of two. There's room for improvements and refinement that I hope they will achieve in their next endeavour. If you're looking for a short, 'spooky' game to pass a couple of hours, this does the job just fine. Don't go into it expecting some deep, complex game play or puzzles, that's all.

A fun take on a well-known, popular entertainment source (paranormal investigation) and very well done considering it's been developed by one person. Great fun to play with friends and family, especially for fans of horror games, or the paranormal in general. If you enjoy watching ghost hunting shows, you'll enjoy playing this. Still in early development as of my writing this, but ever improving and I'm looking forward to see where it goes.

A beautiful, heart-warming and heart-wrenching story. Music is delightful, graphics are adorable.
Mom joining in the adventure was a nice touch.

It's a fun simulation game without all the additional micro-managing of modern simulations like SimCity, etc. Easy enough to pick up, and mod-friendly. Good for a relaxing gaming experience.

Did not expect this game to turn out the way it did, and I was unbelievably pleased with it!! There's something incredibly fun about burning things, and finding all the combos, but knowing that it all worked up to that finale was even better.

Excellent job, 8/10 will reccommend.

How to describe this game....

This game was the refereshing drink you take after a long walk in the sun.

Something new, something...different. And it found this difference by confronting the obvious pitfalls in the gaming industry and shedding light on them in new angles to not only explain them, but to exploit them and turn them from a pitfall into an idea. An idea that takes you on a journey.

It's a game that makes you think in more ways than one. You gotta be creative. No, you GET to be creative, in an unusual way.

From the perspective of someone studying and heading into this industry, this game was both hilarious, thought-provoking, and it left me with a fresh fire in my heart for game-making.

This is a good game, in my honest opinion.

Do I recommend this game? If you:
Like walking, story-centric horrors
Have an hour to spare
Have the cash to spare
Then yes, I do.

Did this game blow my mind? No, of course not. The walking, story heavy horror has a lot to offer, but it takes a lot to really tap into the potential. This game gently caressed the surface. Given that it was made by one person, however, I think it did a fair job. The story was easy enough to piece together, so long as you're able to understand subtle clues. And there was a nice, rounded twist at the end that explained, without a wall of text, what your purpose for the exploration was. I found that was a nice touch and it made the completion of the game satisfying.

Unless I missed a portion of story (which is possible, as I guessed one puzzle so unless that was what I was supposed to do, I may have missed some minor reveals) then most of the questions were answered in some formatm which was nice.

The praise being said, this game doesn't have any replayability, aside from having a friend who doesn't handle horror well playing it while you watch and snicker in the background. A nice soundtrack and fair but not amazing graphics. However, again referencing to the fact that it was made by one man. Making a game isn't easy, after all.

One of the best, most compelling, interesting and entertaining games I've played in a long time. I adore everything about it! From the funny, loveable and unique characters to the twists and turns in the way it can be played and the awesome soundtrack. Every experience is a new one.

One of the coolest games, from the unique and interesting art style to the hilariously cool story and the frustratingly fun game play. Very little to dislike about this game.
