Great game that's still plagued with a bunch of critical bugs. It's extremely satisfying and fun to play with friends when it works, but suffers from many crashes that happen just too often (multiple hard crashes + re-creates needed per gaming night). I still consider it a recommend since its so fun solo, and multiplayer is where it shines more. Hoping in a few months time the crashes will be resolved.

This game makes care enough to rage, I am now bald though as a downside.

I really enjoyed the draft phase and cultivating players / team house aspect. Management of team games is always super fun and I've been pretty sad that it's been mostly only done in sports games so it's really nice to see a new twist for Esports which I love to watch.

That being said, the game does has its flaw with balancing (pretty funny considering its based off MOBAs) and there's definitely a curve to be learned on how to make your players better as sometimes you might find yourself in too deep of a hole to recover and continually lose the entire season which makes it feel like a waste of time as you get downgraded to a lower league only to destroy it again.

All things aside, I think its a fun and enjoyable experience and has some reptitive value, though I feel there can definitely be a lot more polishing to be done before I will consider playing it more and being more "worth it" to have repeat playthroughs. (Definitely needs more heros and different balancing styles)

Rough around the edges, but offers a DnD experience on a gaming platform.

This, however, is its weak point. Because playing by straight DnD rules is a weird experience. Rules are often bent in real life DnD, but this can't be done in-game. So everyone coming into this game will have a different mindset for rules. So it ends up feeling like a prettier, yet restricted DnD experience (potentially less fun because of expectations). I think they should've just aimed for a mix of their old DoS system and DnD5e without saying they'll strictly stick to 5E. They can default to 5E if necessary.

I think this kind of splits the community as I know lots of new players will be super confused about 5E rules, and just want a game that's not "bounded" by the rules of a tabletop DnD. While players who actually play 5E will admire the ruleset, yet because it's not the same as they play, it can feel awkward. There's also certain game mechanics in tabletop that just don't work as well in the game. Things like long/short-rests in a game feels... weird. I'm not exactly sure there's specific punishments in the game, but in tabletop, taking a rest is no small feat which in this game feels like a free way to rest in a hub and swap companions. Things like rolling also feels a bit clunky with it pausing and bringing up a seperate screen and having a dice "roll" in the center of the screen.

All around, I think it's a solid RPG experience as expected of Larian, but I think it suffers a bit from a gameplay perspective because of the DnD ruleset they wanted to strictly follow. It's a tough time following up their highly successful Divinity Original Sin 2 with a early access version of BG3 who received so much hype. So I feel for them and respect the effort and communication they have provided so far. Looking forward to the full release of this game!

Pretty much best replayable VR game out there. It definitely doesn't look as cool or fun as it actually is in VR. Personally recommend this game for anyone who owns a VR headset, it's by far my favorite game that looks amazing still and nothing better than slicing along to music you love. (This is based on modded game experience)

It's mandatory to get mods though imo, BUT it's super easy. 10 minutes of Googling + downloading and now you can easily use other maps people made and that opens up the game to the next level.

Slice box, dodge walls, swing fast. EZ right? :^)

Been playing this surprisingly more than I thought I would. Campaign mode reminds me of Civ 5. Though not as in depth, it adds a lot of flavour through story, events, characters (you get attached), and so on. Since I was small, played a lot of Dynasty Warrior games, so this theme really hit home. Definitely recommend playing through this, especially if you enjoyed TW: Warhammer series as that was one of the only other TW games I enjoyed.

Amazing end to the Tomb Raider trilogy. Great character development with Lara. Having her make seemingly stereotypical protagonist-like decisions that end up back firing really made me think twice about how things don't always go well just because you are the main character. Graphics received a nice bump from the last game and puzzles are a good balance of hard, frustrating, and genius. Combat sometimes feels a bit finnicky, but this isn't so much a action game as it is a puzzle and stealth game. Works fine once you get used to it though.

Highly recommend it to anyone who liked base building/sandbox games. It seems kinda complicated at first but as you play (and restart a few times) you will eventually get a hang of it quite quickly. Extremely satisfying gameplay especially once you figure out alot of logistics problems with your factories. Runs well and great game overall.

Introduction

Although in a somewhat buggy alpha state, many things being somewhat glitchy and combat also feeling sluggish and buggy, it does help deliver what I expected it to. It gave me a true sense of "survival." Should I get that can of beans and risk getting shot? or try another place with the risk of starving before then? You make many choices in this game, and I felt that it really helped deliver the decision making, atleast to some level, in a surival situation.

Plus

The Looting Spawns: It was fun as I would constantly discover new items of interest and it created a incentive to constantly move around.
The Large Map: Helped make the game feel more open and free as compared to a smaller map which would feel cramped, repetitive, and would make for a terrible cluster eff on popular servers.
Atmosphere: Although not technically a game mechanic, this game is able to make you feel fear. Whether its the fear of dying or the feel of losing everything. Everytime I fought someone, or thought someone was there, it was extremely stressful, in a good way.

Negative

Bugs: This game is plagued with many bugs, though not all game-breaking, the mass amount of bugs really hampers the experience by quite a bit. Especially when you randomly die or lose you character due to it.
Optimization: This game isnt really THAT well optimized, though not terrible. Many times it feels just there were too many frame drops even though i'm using a GTX 780Ti.
Fighting: Though fun espcially being able to use both first and third person, the combat honestly felt extremely buggy, unpolished, and often broken. Many times I would be really close and have my scope on someone, but it would magically miss. And many times it felt that the bullets just were registering a hit or the enemy would be able to magically not get hit by it. This is probably due to some server to player issues, but it is still quite annoying.

Conclusion

Although the game has many bugs hampering it, this is mainly due to the alpha state or "early access" state of the game. I'm sure all the problem will get patched eventually, and even at this point the bugs are merely hampering and annoying, but never really game breaking for me. The plus sides to this game greatly outweigh the negatives, and it also feels good to be apart of creating a game through providing feedbacks. DayZ helps provide a semi-authentic experience on survival and although hampered by many bugs, it shows great promise through constant updates and a solid game underneath the bugs.
