Interesting unique mechanics, extremely satisfying combinations, and plenty of replayability.

One of the best medieval games out there.

A simple and somewhat balanced combat system makes the multiplayer in this game easy to learn, but difficult to master. Even after my over 200 hours in Native, PoP, napoleonic, and full invasion, and probably a couple hundred on Crpg alone, I still have yet to come even close to mastering the combat in this game. Sure, you can infinitely block one person, but the Chambering(some call it parrying) can be extremely difficult and frustrating(especially when used against you) things to learn, and deal with.
I merely consider myself above average in Native Multiplayer, even after the long hours I have put into this game.

I haven't even talked about singleplayer yet, or really any variety of mods. In native singleplayer, even if you cheat and give yourself basically infinite gold and max stats, it would still take atleast 30hrs to even come close to conquering the whole map(for an average player, anyway). Now, that is not always good. After a while, the sieges and general repetiveness of singeplayer does begin to be a bore. But, that is where the brilliant modding community comes into play. With a huge variety of mods, the game multiplies its content atleast 50fold, in the singleplayer alone. Original maps, hundreds of new units, new diplomacy, more authenticism. These are all things you can find in the singeplayer mods. The multiplayer mods have the potential for 1000s of hrs of gameplay, with persistant online characters, and new gamemodes, just as examples.

Definitely one of my favorite games of all time, this game offers a nice combat system, a huge amount of content, and watermelon grenades. What else could you want?
