It's very interesting when you turn the "AI Hallucination" concept into a feature by having Rambley trying to function in a theme park that isn't.

I know the voicelines and art aren't AI, but it's responses and jokes are very spot on for what a children designed AI would try to do.

Really looking forward for Chapter 2.

After 4 plot twists i said to hell with this, if youre gonna make me go through the entire campaign of Alien Isolation then eternal suffering isnt enough, youre gonna make out of this mess just out of spite.

Great game, sadly its held by glue and duct tape, not really in the mood to fix save files, for 60$ i shouldn't have to troubleshoot connection issues or save files missing, extremely bad showcase for anyone thinking about getting Forza 5.

Almost 10 year old game, can't rejoin a ranked match if the game crashes, enjoy the 60min ban because operation health wasn't enough

The environment storytelling is just baffling, the amount of implicit tutorials for various systems within the game is impressive, it's the small things that really captivated my attention, it seems simple to give the player a tool and then a situation where it is immediately useful, but many games simply fail to do this.

Never during gameplay i've been interrupted by a giant text box explaining that i can crawl on vents, but a simple light pointed to it is more than enough.

The only criticism i have is optimization, looking to certain parts of the map will bring my fps to its knees, apart from that, the horror is great, puzzles are fun, the game doesn't feel stretched, you can clearly see tangible progress when playing, gun play and fell are top notch.

I can't recommend this enough, it's rough around the edges, but i can finally picture an actually scary coop shooter, just because it breaks the mould.

Bought the game, can't play due to "always" online shenenigans.
What a shame.

Update after 28h:
The game is more similar than Payday 1 than Payday 2, which is a good thing imo, less focus on RPG elements really makes the new player experience more welcoming since you're not fishing for meta builds to have a chance at higher difficulties.

Gunplay and movement feels nice and survivability isn't all that available at Overkill, being the highest difficulty it is supposed to be hard, soloing with bots is doable but cheese is an option if you dont have a full build at your disposal, like camping inside of a bathroom and mowing everything that tries to enter until the assault ends, bonus points if you peek with flashes whenever you notice a clump on enemies at your door.

As others have said, the progression is bizzare and confusing, there is no point going into detail because it will most likely go through changes in the next couple months.

Peer2Peer hosting would be great since i been playing with 150~200 ping since 2nd day of launch either solo or coop, i know cheaters will be the excuse but as some people already saw, this solution isnt being that effective and is much more damaging to the quality of the product than not having it, my source for this claim is the launch day reviews.

Overall i feel that Payday 3 refined old mechanics but forgot to bring most QoL features that were added during the Payday 2 lifespan, simple things like renaming loadouts, unready in a lobby, horrible menu designs, etc. It's small defails that add up and really makes the game feel rushed.

I hate that the excuse will be to give the game an year to be good, why launch the game now if it will be good in a year? Was the money worth it to tank the reviews all the way to 20%? I'm just baffled.

If you're on the fence about getting it, just don't, give the game the year that it needs.
If you enjoyed Payday 1, then you will be right at home.
If you enjoy Payday 2 it might be worth doing more research to see if it's something you would enjoy.
If you never played a Payday game, as long as you have someone to play with, it's gonna be an okay experience.

TL;DR: Feels rushed and undercooked, if you're a fan of the series then you might like it, otherwise, wait an year.

Words cannot express how immersive this game is, how you get emotionally invested in your survivors, how tense some close calls are, how defeated you feel when a good run gets cut short by your own actions, how powerful you feel against the undead but also so weak.

This isn't a regular zombie game, and that's why i keep coming back to it over and over again.

"This is how you died.", just remember to put up a good show.

Edit: still good and mods have only gotten better
