A diving simulation game where you catch fish and manage a sushi restaurant.

Dave the Diver has swiftly become one of my most memorable games in a long time. The main gameplay loop is relatively simple; catch fish during the day cycle and run the restaurant during the night. Each day involves going down to various biomes at an increasing depth to catch various varieties of sea creatures and resources, and eventually surfacing to use them as ingredients in an expanding menu of Sushi dishes.

What lies beneath the surface of this seemingly simple game is a plethora of mini-games and mechanics that didn't let up until the very end. There is a lot for you to do besides manage a restaurant; which I won't spoil here. I was really surprised by how much this game had to offer, from fresh new mechanics, collectables, boss fights, characters and genuinely some of the funniest cutscenes and animations I've ever experienced in a game.

With fantastic gameplay, memorable encounters, a brilliant soundtrack, art style and perfect vibes I cannot recommend this game enough for anyone who is looking for one of the most genuinely FUN games I've ever played.
