Incredibly based that they banned like the entire third world after the PSN debacle, they should add India to the list of no-sell countries to improve the user experience. Other than that the Swedes making this game are dedicated to nerfing fun weapons into the dirt so expect any build that makes playing enjoyable to be swiftly rectified. 50/50 on a purchase due to that.

To be honest you'd get a better experience out of TW:WHII at this point. It's a complete package and unless you're particularly hungry for the anti-consumer practices CA seems to have fallen in love with as of late, there's not much aside from the MonoGod Chaos factions and I guess Cathay or Kislev, offered by this installation. Each new pack of DLC gets pricier and the amount of payload that used to go into full packages for factions and free lords are now less than ever before.

The train management system offered by Cathay, and later iterated upon by the Chaos Dwarves, is not quite worth these new prices compared to the kind of gameplay changing experiences offered by earlier packs such as Ikit Claw and Grom the Paunch. Both of which are available in TWWHII and required to be bought regardless if you're new to the series. There are some balance changes that seem to be more multiplayer focused than the prior installments, but you'd not find much gameplay differences aside from those shifts.

Squad at one point had been a very pleasing modern iteration of tactical military sims that didn't quite require the investment of ARMA, but also did not dive as deeply into the arcadey gameplay loops of Battlefield let alone Call of Duty. However in the name of accessibility the gameplay has been dumbed down again and again, and the tactical maneuvering of your squad, its composition, communication and teamwork, and even working together with a command element can be better realized in other games such as Hell Let Loose instead. Squad gameplay has boiled down to running a logi, building a hab, and then throwing yourself at the enemy point until someone runs out of tickets.

Worse yet, OWI has all but forgotten the original roadmap for this game and features that had been promised years ago have still not seen the light of day. The game is currently being ran into the ground by Tencent and a mobile game developer is now in charge of the game's direction. Emotes have been implemented. The writing is on the wall. I cannot in good faith suggest someone buy this game in its current state and with the current leaders at the helm, as it's very likely to become unrecognizable as a tactical military sim altogether. If you'd like something more akin to the original Squad and its vision, 'Project Reality' is a fair alternative albeit more graphically dated.

Currently the game is a buggy mess (unless you count the cash-shop, which as expected, works flawlessly). A lot of content that had been shown in trailers, including weapons and enemies, are not in the current release. Expect for there to be performance issues and lots of tweaking the settings to get the game into a playable state if you aren't on the latest NVIDIA (take note on this specification) cards.

COMBAT:
Melee and Ranged combat is fun, but current iteration of the game feels unfinished and rushed. There is no "story" so to speak, which is ironic considering how Fatshark made a point to mention how Dan Abneck, author of 15 Warhammer 40k novels, was writing for this alleged story. No, instead you will enjoy cutscenes where you are talked at for about 15 seconds and sent away with nary a peep. Which leads me to suspect that these were originally meant to be introductory cutscenes to some sort of larger section of the hub area, especially considering the nigh arbitrary introduction of them as you level up.

GAMEPLAY/STORY:
There is no "story" so to speak, which is ironic considering how Fatshark made a point to mention how Dan Abneck, author of 15 Warhammer 40k novels, was writing for this alleged story. No, instead you will enjoy cutscenes where you are talked at for about 15 seconds and sent away with nary a peep. Which leads me to suspect that these were originally meant to be introductory cutscenes to some sort of larger section of the hub area, especially considering the nigh arbitrary introduction of them as you level up. The banter levels expected of the game and advertised with the various voice options has picked up compared to the beta, but the characters themselves fall very short of the standard set by the Vermintide cast. Considering the game's story is disjointed and non-existent, this isn't too surprising. Those familiar with the 40k setting may be astounded by the kind of heretical lines spouted out across the Vox-lines and lack of inquisitional justice administered, but it isn't the worst of offenses.

ENDGAME:
If you liked Vermintide 2's crafting, you will be disappointed, as it is nowhere to be seen. Instead a gacha-esque system of weapon lotteries on the rotating storefront are available, where you will want to aim for the lowest quality weapon and then hope that at the upgrade station your RNG is strong and you roll stats and blessings while upgrading that compliment the weapons. This is the primary source of gameplay from what I can tell, aided only by another RNG storefront from 'Sire Melk' where a host of Destiny 2 style weekly missions are available to earn a secondary (tertiary? There are like 4-5 currencies in game already before even getting to premium currencies) currency which can be used to unlock the rotated in weapons, or risk your luck on lootboxes.

Missions are currently hit or miss, they're mostly limited to 4-5 similar maps that make me personally wish for the kind of visual difference Vermintide and Vermintide 2 offered. There is no 'campaign' so to speak, as the missions you undertake can be done in any order, but NOT at any choosing. These missions rotate in and out as well, with various effects, secondaries, and difficulties. This can be Hellish for certain weekly tasks, as you might not see a mission with your particular combination for hours. Fatshark doesn't seem to be capable of fixing the problems with what was once 'Endless Horde' and is now 'Hi-Intensity Zone' leading to a rename as specials spawned continually with the large hordes of poxwalkers. There is a bug present currently where joining into missions on Heresy+ without any modifier present and lead to the Hi-Intensity modifier being present anyway. Fatshark seems to insist that this is a visual bug, but from experience in the beta, I can safely say that it is not.

Speaking on modifiers: Most of them are not present. The 'Lights-Out' and 'Fog' modifiers that existed in the early days of the beta and that were recently advertised for the release of the Daemonhost enemy existed for an entirety of 3 hours that evening, and have not appeared in the rotation anytime afterward. Or if they are appearing, it is not in any appreciable timeslot or frequency for the average NA player.

BUGS:
Current state of bugs are worse than during the Beta, with disconnection errors making themselves as prevalent as error and the VETERAN class being almost nonviable on higher level missions as a bug currently causes anyone with 100 or more 'Toughness' (your main shield component in game) to take full damage instead of the chip damage and toughness loss that would usually occur while the bar is available.

Don't expect communication from Fatshark, as you'll only be met with a petty community manager with a record of outright lying and making up the most deranged excuses to cover for the company's failings.

Game isn't long enough to justify buying for the gimmick after they compromised their integrity with that b*tch made post about "sensitive content". Lacks replayability as well, wish I could get a refund.

Generally disappointing. Really not worth much of a purchase if you're expecting any RPG mechanics (featured or implied) to actually function, or matter. Lore is sparse and flashy, very surface-level meaning, if you don't already understand what Cyberpunk is about you probably won't walk away super enlightened. Everyone already knows about the bug fiasco and how unfinished the game was on release, and so far I can't tell if that's really changed all that much.

The state of Cyberpunk 2077 is likely due to some massive last-minute overhaul to fit a certain celebrity cameo in, suggesting otherwise implies an even bigger cash grab scam. Either way if you were to view the original content and the finished product you'd think someone had switched the games while you weren't looking. Keanu Reeves is cool I guess, but his acting is pretty flat. Makes one wonder what a more "true to form" Silverhand would be like.

Overall, can't really suggest getting for full price. Maybe if there's a sale or something it could be worth it, but you're basically paying up for an unfinished game.

While time has not been kind to the servers for this game, the gameplay itself remains true and exciting for those of us interested in a more gritty, tactical style of play. Mastering a weapon involves getting to know it, learning its quirks, and understanding just when you should affix bayonet and charge forth unto the breach.

Different roles, such as the Commander, bring a nice change of pace for what's usually an airstrike brought forth by 'killstreaks' in other games. The rich do not get richer in RO2 for performing, winning is its own reward.

I...I don't even know where to start with this. It is by far the best game I've ever played in my life. It was so great, that if this game was a living, breathing, being, I would suck it of- I mean, have a lovely night with it. You should buy it and experience what it's like to be stood-up and fall into a spiraling depression.

Yeah it's alright now, don't expect any updates ever again. Play if you have a community server in mind, otherwise prepare for an awful casual experience.

Servers, servers, everywhere but every one is Trade.
