While I have never played the first Risk of Rain, I knew someone who really loved it whenever he played it so when a group of friends told me to buy this one, I was a bit skeptical at first- A game that was originally a side-scroller being translated to 3D? That doesn't end well usually, but this time it did.

This game is amazingly fun, especially with friends and if I had to sum the experience up with one sentence it'd be:

please lord help I have a crippling addiction to shaped glass

While yes, the launch of the game was a boring mess, post Forsaken the game has improved so much that it's effectively a re-launch, at least in my opinion.

Are you a games player? Do you enjoy puzzle games? Buy this game then

10/10 fought off giant roaches with a flamethrower, a missle launcher, and a dog machine gun
