grindy! but not enough pull elsewhere, to keep you playing like other grindy games.

I cant recommend the game as an Early Access game with over 3 years since an update came out.

For the price its definitely not worth buying, but if you get it on sale, then yeah its worth about 10 hours of time playing solo, or slightly more with a friend.

If another update comes out, i will amend this review to reflect, because this game has potential.

At the point of review, i am 14.6hrs in, and hopefully i am not more than half way through. If i am, i will most likely change this review, or recommend only picking it up on sale. I purchased my copy for $20 USD.

From my perspective, mainly playing with friends, but also playing solo at times, it really does feel like a cross over between Cellar Door Games Rogue Legacy (which i loved) and Gauntlet: Slayer Edition (which my friends and i also loved).

The real strength from this game, and most games like this is the couch coop gameplay, a few mates, drinking beer and trying to get through the next level, even if repeating some levels to get the gold to power up a little more.

The storyline is fine, but unless im playing solo, my friends and i just skip the dialogue to get to the game play, in which i think Cellar Door Games did wonderfully by supplying an option to skip the dialogue, which is sometimes funny to read, but mainly aimed at a younger audience.

Hope that they release some DLC for this, including new characters and skill trees.

Great game, playing with 2-3 other people couch co-op created plenty of entertainment. Well worth getting into this one. Cant wait for the next Gauntlet, i really hope it follows on from this game style.

I didnt find anything special about this at all.

They're more "deep" games out there.

Its a game you have to play at least once.

Yes you could watch all the good bits on youtube. But it soo much better discovering all the funny moments yourself.

Dont buy it untill they release some more customisation and missions.

Shadowrun Returns was limited but enjoyable for a little while.
Shadowrun Online is far from Shadowrun Returns yet.

But it has some good potential, ill be waiting until it looks decent to play again.

Loved this game, but sadly i stopped playing it once i got so far.

Im still searching to this day for a game that fills the needs Rogue Legacy did.

They got it spot on, but you can only play some games for so long.
