Another victory for Democracy.

The game is good. Many enemy types to keep the game fresh and interesting along with some game physics to make things unpredictable at times when dealing with explosions and enemies that will knock you over and kick you around like a football.
The major orders giving you reason to try out new things also keeps the game interesting as you try to take planets in a large space map from robots and bugs.

(Unfortunately due to actions by Sony taken against my friends I had to leave a negative review at one point below here is that review)

I got this game to play with friends. It was good. The game pretty much requires friends to be playable at the higher difficulties.

Now Sony wants to require that PlayStation Network accounts be linked to your Steam accounts.
Problem is PlayStation Network is not available in some of my friends countries.
They can't create a fake account as that would break the TOS and will likely ban them from the game and any future PlayStation games requiring a PlayStation Network account as that banned account will be linked to their Steam accounts.

This worked perfectly fine before Sony stepped in and decided to break up peoples friend groups with this pointless requirement that provides no benefits and actively creates barriers to people playing. Some of my friends have wasted their money on this now. Guess we will have to play something else unless this decision is reversed.

Do not buy. Be weary of buying any future PlayStation published multiplayer games as this may also have an impact on your own friend groups..

Unplayable.
I am not able to get past the main menu into the game after playing the first level.

No mods, setting changes or reinstalling seem to be able to fix the game crashing as soon as i start it.

To add to the frustration I recently learned of the game having multiple issues patched out and features added to the game on another platform while the same game on here remains unplayable for me no matter what I try.
I don't recommend buying it here on steam simply to avoid any of the many problems this unpatched game may have.

I don't know why but I tried this game on a Linux install instead and it appears to work without issue. Still refuses to work on my windows install and I don't know why but at least I know I can actually play the game now.

Those of you that have been following the games development will know that the developers really care about this game to continue after their struggles in the development of their games.

Each charecter has a unique fighting style, design and personality to each of them.
The stages are as unique as the charecters.

The game has a lobby system that allows you to select a pixel version of one of the fighters and chat with other players in the lobby as you explore a hub world of a lobby. You can also dress your charecter in their pixel form with a bunch of items. Skull girls players will get 2 hats and a neck piece.

The pixel version of the charecter you pick matters as there is a feature in the game that allows you to go salt mining in the caves of the lobby world and find chests full of salt but in the caves are shadowy predators of herd animals that will chase your pixel charecter and begin a fight. They will keep coming until you have been beaten. The pixel charecter you chose will be the charecter you fight off the predators with.

It is important to note that the game is still in early access meaning that it is not quite complete yet and some charecters still have frames of attacks that need to be finished first. Currently the game has card board cut out like sketches as replacements for missing frames on some charecters and their attacks. Some of these are quite distracting. I have no doubt that they will look as nice as the rest of the animations once complete though.

One personal complaint I have about how the game plays is the dashing, it is short and does not close much of a distance making getting in close for an attack difficult. I have encounterd multiple fights where I have had to dash many times to get close to the other player as they keep a large distance with ranged attacks. This is a problem in many fighting games but with the dash in this game it feels harder to close the gap than others.

Like Skull Girls this game is a good game to start with for those of you who that may be intrested in getting into 2d fighting games.

The online part of this game was once pretty boring and was full of loading screens to do anything.

It has since recived many updates and made the online freeroam much more interesting with the addition of buisnesses, bike clubs and events.

This game gives a great experiance from the point of view of the troopers and rebles but still lets you enjoy the lightsaber action with force powers.

This game was the most fun I had in a multiplayer game out of all other multiplayer 3rd person shooters, though gamespy is gone you may Use gameranger to host a fake LAN to play with others online, this is much better quality online than gamespy provided in my opinion.
