Even at "free" price point, the game isn't worth your time. Ugly, janky and lacking in vision.

It's really hard to describe succinctly why I recommend this game. For lack of a wall-of-text, all I can say that this is an emotional journey will will feel especially poignant to those of us who have lost something, whether by our own hands or another's. It may be "horror" but that description simplifies what is so much more.

It's not pulp horror.

It's not psychological horror.

It is emotional horror. Which I will argue is the strongest you can get.

Fun game. Free game with cosmetics for sale.

Maps have a fun layout and a whimsical feel to them. Spacemen and monsters have some neat designs (suits and helmets can get interesting customization with purchased cosmetics). In-game mechanics are varied and thoughtful and lend themselves to making the game feel a little more in-depth.

The weapons look cool but ultimately feel unsatisfying and the gunplay is mediocre. Needing to unload several dozen bullets into anything to kill it feels extremely tedious. Most of the community doesn't mind, but I would suggest the ability to adjust settings in custom servers, with things like weapon damage and health regen being able to be tweaked by the admin.

Needs some work to actually make the paranoia portion of it more visceral. Hard to put my finger on it, but I think it might have to do with the damage scaling of weapons and how easy it is for the monster to regain health. I'd prefer if everyone hit a little harder and/or the monster wasn't perhaps so robust.

The community is about the maturity level you'd expect from a game like this, so take that as you will.

A neat idea with a pretty bad execution in its current state. The environment you're in looks pretty cool, but that's about it.

No ability to rebind most keys means the game is a nightmare to play for those of us who are left-handed.

Crouch isn't a toggle and thus has to be held down, which is a chore - in addition, crouch makes the character move in a very jerky fashion, which is very noticeable as crouching is going to be your primary means of moving around in any threatening areas.

Depth of field makes this game feel like you're suffering from heat stroke and should be disabled as soon as you're in the game.

Apparently the enemies can teleport to you if they detect you which makes for a poor cat and mouse style of gameplay.

Arbitrary flashlight battery mechanic with an auto recharge feels pointless.

Tight gameplay with enough variety to keep you coming back for more. Enhanced by playing with your friends, as the public community is rather taciturn around randoms and strangers.

This game is a nightmare, in a good way. It is not your normal FPS, not your normal mystery adventure. It is an experience which introduces you to a very bleak and well-crafted world. The drive to try to save everyone, let alone just yourself is there... and all but impossible without impeccable management skills (and probably an online guide or three). But that's not necessarily the point of the game. You are making real choices throughout with real consequences which arise from those very choices.

I'm only on day 4 so far and have managed to stay upright, but I don't feel so confident about my fellow citizens. I think I can keep at least some of them alive to the end and I am excited to see how poorly I actually do by the end. Such an experience is most surely not for everyone. But if you enjoy brutal games that punish (and reward) you for your choices, you'll probably enjoy this.

Hunger degradation ~could~ be a little slower, but I can live with it.

I would like the developers to unlock "sprint" from left shift only, however. I'm a left-handed mouse user... it's mildly awkward.
