After 200 hours and well over 100 levels I can confidently say that this game isn't worth a buy at full price.

It has a lot of great gameplay and RPG improvements over previous Bethesda titles and a whole lot of story, plot, and worldbuilding inconsistency shortfalls. The worlds are almost all the exact same topography with different terrain and aliens/plants the exact same of which you'll encounter on 10 different planets somehow.
Only acceptable if they're crabs.
I will not be expanding on this.

Good game, great experience. Suffers from the same curse a lot of other CRPGs suffer from: the conceptual scope being far beyond what material reality could allow for. There are a lot of things in the game that felt half implemented or as if there was meant to be more but there wasn't. That being said, the story is great, setting is actually quite unique, writing is good, endings are satisfying if you take the effort to complete side quests, and you get to kill yourself in a million different very fun ways.

Rare example of a text heavy game with narrative that almost never misses

GIVE ME BACK MY HAT ANNA

Only one puzzle and it's an incredibly easy optional one so don't mind the people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and whining about puzzles because of their own mental shortcomings. Typical Owlcat release bugs but I know what I'm getting into with their stuff at this point. The story within is very engaging, definitely made me feel like a commoner surrounded by things that can and will kill me at any time. A great change of pace from the hyper power fantasy of the main game. If you don't want to sneak around and avoid fighting things that would eviscerate a commoner that your main PC would kill with a thought, this isn't for you. But it you enjoyed games like This War of Mine, the narrative is perfect.

Game punishes you for being horny. Very helpful

Very reminiscent of old Bioware. Way more branching results and consequences than you would expect, as well as quite a lot of reactivity. Good story, numerous endings. Combat gets a bit repetitive with not a huge variety of enemies, but the boss fights were all good fun and challenging even on normal. All in all a very fun experience. Its worth full price and even more worth it on sale
