I'm not well.... It's late....3 A.M, I'm hot and sweaty... my eyes are bloodshot from the constant cascade of flashing lights and the blood red hue of daggers fanning out like a thousand suns. Blinking for even a second could mean Death...I should be in bed, but no.... im here, surrounded by darkness in a tiny arena, with a singular beam of light streaming down almost mockingly from Heaven. A vast array of beasts from the depths of hell assault me from every angle. Dodge, Jump, Strafe...DIE. Death comes so frequent it is as if each life blends into one another. There is no retry button, you just reenter the same hell Over and Over again, as if unable to wake from a terrible nightmare. Skulls laughingly mock you as they chase you around as they spray out from Cthulu-like Octopus towers. Grating reverberations echo throughout the chasm as giant spiders, centipedes and scorpions Zerg-rush you from every angle. Each time you think, "I can make it, just a bit longer." and then you don't... But you practice and practice and practice and slowly but surely you get better. and you survive, if only for a fraction of a second longer. The leaderboard taunts you, and it slowly gets into your head that THIS will be the ATTEMPT. But here I am.... 4 hours later, still clawing towards my PB in the hopes I can last JUST A BIT LONGER. IT's Not a matter of if, but when HELL swallows you whole.
