It is truly wonderful to be able to get a full old school RPG experience for a single up-front purchase without any further badgering from the company down the line, It is, unfortunately, a truly rare example of what a developer can deliver to their fans when they are unhindered by incompetent, hostile management and allowed to do their work by the soulless suits.

When it comes to the positives there are many to list, but one of the truly spectacular ones is the games reactivity. No matter what kind of out of pocket decision do you make, the NPCs almost always have at least line or two to acknowledge your creativity, which is something you do not see in video games as they often give you very rigid limitations. In some cases your creativity can open up entirely new, hidden conversations, quests and events which you would otherwise never stumble upon.

I think it would actually be more pertinent to list my issues with the game, since there are only a handful:

The worst one is the fact that the game is based on the DnD 5th edition rulebook along with the level 12 limitation, which unfortunately discourages players from exploring alternate usage of many utility spells and instead strongly encourages players to simply stack straight damage and Action Points.
Another negative is that the wonderful complexity and depth of Act I somewhat falls off in Act III on account of the lack of public testing and their input on the development.
The final thing is that the main storyline is bog standard DnD fare, so it is fairly predictable and at points, dull, but that is more of a personal complaint.

A somewhat more casual Escape from Tarkov with great aesthetic of the first World War but in space.
It also helps the game isn't just a carbon copy, you have an added element of space combat that is there before everyone boards the actual raid, so you get to knock out competition, or look for a merchant vessel to raid instead.

The best advice I received for this game is to not get attached to your gear, one day you're on a winning streak killing other Marauders left and right, and the next day you're fully geared losing to some nobody with a Mauser.

Maxed out ogryn.
Half the weapons are slight variations of each other, the other half are useless.
Like a one-round shotgun with insane reload and practically zero stagger useless.

So the gameplay itself, while not awful isn't very inspired, but one of the biggest issues is the atrocious performance and practically a guaranteed disconnect almost every match. usually in the most hectic moments. If you wanna buy I recommend waiting some time until they iron all the technical issues and add more variety.

One of the few good remakes. The game isn't particularly difficult, but it never really was, great fun for young kids.

You actually need to download a fix to get even get the game launch with the correct graphics settings.
This is how utterly incompetent Bethesda is, something that for every other game can be done INGAME on the fly has to be set up in the launcher here, only to be promptly ignored and you get windowed app with minimum detail because it cannot detect your card.

Thanks Todd.

It is impossible to even launch the game and it immediately crashes back to the launcher. Any kind of 'resolution fix' the forums suggest does absolutely nothing. Unless you're playing on Windows XP/Vista then save yourself the money.

This game requires autism and the ability to construct overly elaborate headcanons to truly enjoy it.

I cannot recommend this game enough.
While dated and in some cases restrictive it truly is a game made with dedication and is quite great alternative if you tire of Civilization and want something similar but with fantasy aspects, the devs are even to this day providing not only DLCs but also free content patches despite developing another 4X title. If you want more 4X and strategy titles then Amplitude deserves the support.

A fun little game, more of a time killer akin to 2048 than some proper PC title yet fun nonetheless. The premise of the game is simple yet playing for the high score requires some strategy and planning. Quite enjoyable.
