I played the demo for about 400 hours and definitely recommend this game. Even though it's early access it's fully playable and has tons of replay value. It's been getting regular updates even before the early access release. It's a unique autobattler/inventory management game that scratches an itch that no other game quite does.

This is a tactical, active-pause, CQB puzzle game. Sort of like if SWAT 4 was a top-down active pause game. The in-game campaigns are all really well done, but the user-made maps are where the game really shines. It integrates Steam workshop and there's people that have made their own campaigns which I've enjoyed more than the campaigns that ship with the game. There's also an map generator but it needs more work before I'd play these regularly. The auto-generated ones have almost all the same shape and look, just different door placements. Expecting this will get better with future updates.

I remember playing the tech demo version of this game back in like 2010, and it's been really cool to follow its progress over the years. This is the premier zombie apocalypse survival game and there's really nothing else that comes close. The level of depth and number of different systems in the game leads to a full survival experience that would still be interesting even without the zombies.
