Early Access Review
I don't usually take the time to review games and even rarely go for Early Access games to begin with but I feel I have to give this game a review even in its current early access state.

Instantly I was hooked and spent more enjoyable hours packed in a short amount of time on this game than any game within the last ten years. It definitely hit a spot I didn't know I needed. If you enjoy a sci-fi setting with survival traits in what feels like a co op campaign (although currently unfinished) this game might be for you.

I've spent 48 hrs (finished the campaign as far as we could) in game which is more than many single player games released lately which can also cost up to three times as much.

Absolutely chuffed with this game and I can't wait to see what it becomes in the future.

If you're a fan of the Studio Ghibli atmosphere this should feel right at home. It's a nice easy going game but a little grindy for the achievements. And definitely play with the Japanese dub.

Even without a Deck, this is a must play. It's a great laugh from start to finish.

Nice little game with incredible visuals. Game play is fairly straightforward and short but the graphics are strong enough to keep you interested.

A really neat and enjoyable game, it's got a little bit of jank here and there but it's very playable. The great music and audio design makes for a solid atmosphere and the Condition 1 difficulty offers a good challenge.
Play time is skewed as I accidentally left the game running while I made dinner, my guess is 3-6 hours.

If you're a fan of Kojima's story telling style and don't mind slow paced gameplay with a dash of action this should be your cup of tea. Fantastic visuals and sound design with satisfying controls. Some movement and physics can be a bit janky but it doesn't bother me enough to ruin immersion.

At the time of writing this first review I was 63 hours in, now that I've finished it with 207 hours played; I can confidently say this game was a blast the whole way through. I played it to the fullest so don't be alarmed by the long hours, the game can be completed in average AAA game time I'd imagine.

Edit: I still think about this game often.

I actually feel bad that I haven't reviewed this yet after so many hours played. Such a fantastic game with excellent pacing, always feels like you have stuff to do. Top notch music and pleasant art style makes it an easy play.

I've introduced this game to a few people now and every time I've played it we've had an absolute blast. If you're looking for a little time passer and a laugh, this is your game. Very intuitive for people anyone to pick up.

Can't think of any game similar in experience, nothing else comes close to this atmosphere for me. It's slow paced, heavy and intense with a nice touch of grotesque. At the moment game play seems fairly balanced, all weapons have their pros and cons and are individually fun to use. Personally I find it's best played with friends. Would absolutely love a co-op PVE mode too!

Edit: Some of the dlc characters are getting a bit cartoony rather than cool looking which is concerning. Still waiting on that PVE mode too.

The best looking and sounding VR game out there (even better looking than some modern PC games), incredible visuals with fantastic performance throughout most of the game. Plays out very much like a beginners guide to VR. The enemies are sparse and slow, puzzles are fairly simple but have pleasing interactions. If you're looking for intense action there are a few moments, but it's mostly about the atmosphere and story which are both brilliant. Definitely a must for any VR user.
