About two hours in. Everything's fine, though the sun is going down and there's no buildings in this wide open field with a few trees. No food, only 20 pounds/~2 gallons of water. Find a tiny, worn shack to shield myself from the windchill. Big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ snowstorm hits as the sun goes down. I'm already cold, but now it's -60 and I'm freezing to death. Realize I don't have any fuel to start a fire, only a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of matches and tinder plugs. ♥♥♥♥. Pull out a flare and go running outside practically blind in the storm to scurry around for sticks. Condition has already dropped to 70%. I'm panicking. I am now starving to death as well. I make out an image of what looks like a buck and pull out my rifle. Two bullets. Had to use both, but got him. Sprint over to the corpse, and lucky me there's also two fir limbs beside the dead buck. Hack up the body for all the meat and all the limbs for firewood. 20% condition and Hypothermia. Sprint back into the shack to shield myself from the ~37 windchill and start a fire with the last of my accelerant. Throw in enough firewood to make the damn fire last 14 hours. Cook all the venison and eat two of the slabs. Sleep through the snowstorm and wake up to start treating my Hypothermia.

10/10 would nearly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die hopelessly again.

Seriously, out of the ~3 hours I've played this game, I've loved it. I'll tell you why;

-Great Atmosphere
-Great Music
-Fatastic Art Style
-Actually fun to explore
-Genuinely fun survival system and concept
-No PvP
-No F*cking Zombies

Seriously, the only thing I could see going wrong with this game is the sandbox mode getting a little stale after a long while, but I look forward to story mode with high hopes!

Paid money to make the God of Rain become a serial-killing axe murderer and do the Macarena.


I've never felt more satisfied with a purchase.

SFM is great, but not easy to use for beginners.

Almost all of the negative reviews are by children who are either too stupid or impatient to actually learn something. The rest are people who just get crashes, which is like the 6%.

Get this if you're even mildly interested.

Started the game, optimistic from the ratings.
Joined a game full of 5 year olds.
All of them are screaming over the microphone.
They scream my name and all kill me.
Again and again.
Fired two rounds at zombies one life before killed again.

They say the cure for the black plague was soap.
The uninstall button is this plague's soap.

Good I guess if you're too cheap to buy Gmod and play zombie survival.

I've had this game for a long time, but I dropped it early on due to the severe amount of bugs. I've come back recently and it's been massively improved with so much more to offer. Though the trailers focus on the gore and dismemberment, there's a great amount of gameplay to be had where you aren't chopping off someone's arms.

One stipulation: The DLC is WAYYYY Overpriced.

I purchased this game last year while it was on sale, and I'm surprised at what I got. This game is by far the cleanest WW2 game I have played. There is always a limitation or stipulation to what you can and can't do strategically (aside from a few bugs and glitches). The singleplayer is mighty confusing at first, but that's jsut something to avoid since the multiplayer is the big course. realism is highly preferred and honestly it's the most fun out of any other type of gamemode. When you're playing with friends it only gets better with a few saving private Ryan moments here and there. But my only complaint is the leveling system on weapons, and it's not even that bad. Overall, great game and absolutely worth the money.
