Great game with great devs. Yeah the 1.0 launch wasn't perfect, but its fixed now and the game is great. If you are an ARPG gan this is a must play. If you are thinking about trying an ARPG for the first time - this is also for you.

If you liked Diablo 4, you probably won't like this. Enjoy your crayons.

There isn't a ton of content yet, but what's there is very good. I paid 10 bucks and got a few hours fun. Assuming the dev fleshes out the campaign some, I think this could be a very good game.

If you think you'll like it - you will. Its better than the videos and reviews give it credit for, and most of those called it game of the year. Its probably one of the best games of the 2010's.

Solid game. Well thought out for a challenge curve. There really isn't anything else like it, I would advise looking at some play throughs on youtube and see if its for you.

I've never played the board game, so I cannot compare it to that. I am a pretty big fan of deck builders and turn based strategy, so this seemed in my wheel house. I just finished my first play through (the tutorial), and that was just with two characters. I'm excited to reply with different characters and combos. Based on what I see it doesn't look like I've even unlocked 20% of everything in about 15 hours of play, so I would guess I'm going to get 50+ hours out of this game easy, if not a good bit more. Not a bad deal for $25.

If you are used to "full information" type games like slay the spire - the amount of RNG in this might be frustrating to you. When viewed against other tactical type games, though - the RNG is pretty tame. You can plan through a move, taking as much time as you need, and be pretty certain it will play out the way you want. There is just enough RNG so that sometimes you have to deal with something unexpected, or think about the best way to minimize possible bad results as you plan your strategy. The RNG can all be influenced through character perks as well.

Viewing this just as a PC game, and not a board game adaptation - I would say this is easily worth the price. Its good fun.

The game is fun, but it needs tuning. I could not in good faith recommend it in its current state. Its frustrating, because there IS a good game in here, but the devs really need to listen to some community feedback.

For a Rogue-like, I like a lot of what they have done to reduce RNG. There are RNG mechanics, but you get to decide to let the dice roll, or use some demonic power to influence them. The amount of times you can do this is limited, so you have to be strategic. I think that's a great concept!

I like the art style, the general flavor of the game.

I DO NOT like that lake of balance and the inability to adjust difficulty. The game gets more difficult as you play, regardless of whether you are doing well. If you are doing well, it gets harder - faster, but it is always getting harder. How is this a good idea. OK, I lost 3 runs in a row, but now you are going to ramp the difficulty? W-T-F

Also, the inability to reduce difficulty to try our new or off-meta comps just seems like an incredibly poor design choice. Character and event balance aside, if they would change even this one thing, I would change this review to a positive.

Its a good game with a terrible advancement system and a greedy Pay to Win system. I wish a game of this type would be released by a competent developer.

If you like the board game, you will like this digital translation. I eagerly await all the DLC implementation.
