It pains me to set this to negative as TEKKEN 8 is still a great game, but the post-release multi-layered monetization is outright shameful. Bandai Namcos financial failures in the year prior are making this game suffer as they seek to recover their losses through actual zero effort monetized content, especially present in the battle pass.
The game is still worth a purchase even at full price, but I would advise against spending anything on the item shop or battle pass.

instead ill just leave this here

there are many games that attempted and failed to capture the successful zombie co op shooter formula since the release of left 4 dead, and the anacrusis does not stand out from that group of failures
unless the game makes a complete u-turn with its development goals before its release, i cannot see it ever becoming an enjoyable experience

A true Half-Life experience, this time in VR with astonishing detail and immersion. I wasn't entirely sure about this game at first, but I enjoyed going through this masterpiece so far, any doubts I had being washed away at every turn.

Valve did it again, and they did it good.

expanding upon the whole "element" theme, a handful of new creatures, items, weapons and a hastily put together map
feels as unfinished as anything else ARK related

this game isn't bad, but it's a literal copy paste of ark's entire game code
the interface is the same, the animations are the same, uses the same engine, same physics, same interaction
with this, comes the same issues

it's a quick zero effort cash grab and it's not trying to hide it at all, it is not unique, it is no better nor worse than ark itself
there is absolutely nothing to it, and there for, not worth a purchase until they at least try to make it feel different

good narrative, great music
story gets ridiculous (in a bad way) as you play through, turns a somewhat believable situation into a big cliche

amusing source engine game, somehow visually aged worse than half life 2
many ways to tackle every enemy encounter, physics hurt your opponents

very prone to crashing, lots of manual saving suggested

not the optimization dlc i was waiting for
