it's ultimately just pointless. click upgrade a few times, move people around to make the numbers higher. rinse and repeat.

neat rogue-like. hope they add way more depth and transform it into an ARPG, but if not, it's still as good as the other 10$ roguelikes (dead cells, etc).

Amazing game. Like Magika but without the stupid combo-button controls and more depth and replay value.

Co-op is amazing. Joining public games is very seamless and I've never had a single technical issues.

I noticed a few (obviously not very smart) people talking about how people can join your game and kill you and that you should be able to turn that off. You can... in the options under the obviously labelled setting, "Friendly Fire", gee I wonder what that does!?

Some other guy was complaining random people are joining his game when he just wanted to play with his wife... Again, very dumb, there's "public" multiplayer and "Friends only" multiplayer... aka steam friends. There's also local multiplayer but I've never used that.

As far as actual gameplay, the controls and mechanics feel very nice. Picking the game up felt very natural.

The combat is quiet in-depth with a rock-paper-scissor feel to the various damage types (ice is vulnerable to fire, and immune to ice for exmaple). There's more to it than I'm willing to write in a review, I'd recommend watching some combat gameplay or just buying it finding it out.

I really like the character/equipment unlock system, you start with two characters and unlock the rest by completing various challenges as you play.

The hardcore difficulty is where it's at IMHO, knowing that any bad move or misplay might end up with you back in the main menu really keeps you on your toes.

Beating the game on hardcore also raises the character level cap from 40 to 60, giving you an additional 20 skill points to use, allowing you try even deeper builds.

I'm pretty suspicious of the 7 negative reviews in a row all with no details or obviously false 'problems' (like i mentioned above with friendly fire and mutiplayer). Before those negative reviews this game was 90+ positive, which is where I'd expect it to be.

I hope they continue to add more content to the game, I could easily see more missions/characters/spells/enemies make it into the game seamlessly. I think it would make for some great paid DLC.
