Turns out, little monkey fella did it.

Exactly as I remember it from my childhood, all the way down to the 4K graphics.

A fun rhythm platformer with a nice simple visual art style which lends itself towards not over bearing the player during difficult move sequences. However, you see all the game has to offer and get all you need out of it within the first 2-3 hours.

Best played with others to take the controls when frustration overtakes you with blood lust towards cute cartoon enemies.

A somewhat varied game with lots of things to shoot and ways to shoot them, but the game lacks any real challenge outside the box thinking as gameplay is designed around multiple players brute forcing enemy strongholds. Enemy AI is especially braindead/predictable with a few exceptions, something that becomes especially annoying as you replay at higher difficulties, turning braindead enemies into bullet sponge braindead enemies. A fun game but any further sequels need to address the lack of variety outside of weapons.

Overall a good looter shooter with fun Co-op and memorable characters. Definitely worth it when on sale.
