A PHD could be done on the reasons Overwatch 2 has failed as a sequel, but I'm sure there's a hundred thousand other reviews here that together list those problems. So I will just review the steam release of this game.

Overall, it works as well as its battlenet counterpart. There are some glaring bugs however that, while they do not directly impact gameplay, certainly speak to the quality assurance of the game as a whole.

The endorse menu shows everyone as an enemy no matter what team they were on.
The "last match" screen shows the teams organized seemingly randomly.
The match history shows every match as "abandoned", but if you click on an individual match to view the stats, it shows as "defeat", even if that game was won.

These are just a few examples of fairly basic things that they just... forgot? for the steam version?
It's rough out here folks

I love/hate this game

Loves: the game

hates: when u press "quit" it brings you to the "press a to go to the main menu" screen and THEN you can quit which is probably the biggest pet peave I'll ever have.

CS:GO Review
Honestly, I regret buying htis game so much. I was never very good at CS:S but it was fun for sure, but CS:GO takes aiming in a completely ridiculous direction. Many times I've found that shooting at an opponent's feet is the best way to headshot them.

The game doesn't have rectile recoil but the weapon recoils, so you have to compensate yourself, which is an interesting concept but all it ends up meaning is you can have the crosshair perfectly over their head for 4 seconds and miss every shot, or aim at their ankles and get 4 headshots, which is entirely unsatisfying.

I regret this so much tbh

Firewatch is, in many senses, not a video game.

I suppose I best could classify Firewatch as a "book game".

Before I continue any farther, the tl;dr version is that I recommend Firewatch whole-heartedly, and I enjoyed it immensely. Some of the climbing was in some ways a little tedious, but in otherways added a lot more deliberate-ness to the situation. It felt more... immersive. It was a tediousness that felt a part of the game rather than a flaw in it, which for me excused the issue. Other than that, I loved Firewatch.

Anyway.

Firewatch is a fantastic game overall. The choices are interesting and feel personable, the characters are relateable and instantly likeable, and feel like real 3D people with great depth.

And that's really what Firewatch is about. People. It is almost entirely about your interaction with the Voice At The End Of The Radio. Other than that, there are people around that, that affect the situation and the topic and your responses to the VATEOTR, who are always on your character's mind, and in turn, on your mind, but ultimately it is about your interaction with this one, other person.

And it is fascinating. It's so enjoyable to talk with her. Her responses are real and sometimes funny and I laughed and I cried and I enjoyed the game all the way through. At the time of writing I finished the story in about four hours, but I will definitely be playing it again, and it was four hours well spent.

One of my favourite parts which sets almost the entire mood for your conversation with the VATEOTR, is the scenery. The world you're put in is absolutely gorgeous, and an absolute constant pleasure to be in. It is styleized in such a gorgeous way that makes the game feel truly authentic.

In essence, I loved Firewatch, and I will play it again.
