5/6/2024 - Sony backed off with forcing mandatory PSN linking after a 3-day boycott. I'm still leaving this negative because the practice was unbelievably scummy on both Sony and Arrowhead's part that I don't doubt they'll pull something like this again soon.

Also they still have nProtect GameGuard in their game and all momentum will probably completely dissipate before we can get the ball rolling on removing it. (No biggie can you just use a patcher to remove it and still play online shhhhh)

Its pretty miserable seeing VOID struggle with managing its enemy AI for its entire development cycle.
The release of 1.0 some managed to undo the Adam update fixes stopping AI from shooting the player through 5 layers of walls and breaking stun animation sequences to instantly kill the player.

As neat of a update 1.0 is I can't recommend this to anyone at this game's current state especially when they bumped the game price to $70.

A fun, extremely fast and extremely challenging sprite-based FPS.

FR's gameplay style depends on how skilled the player is: If they're (a) already familiar with FR's movement and combat they'll clear out a room of ten guys in under 30 seconds bouncing off the walls and disarming all enemies with CQC. (b) Not familiar with FR's movement and combat suddenly their gameplay will be akin to Syrian gopro war footage mag dumping around corners trying to desperately not get shot as doing so incurs a heavy cost burning through supplies to fix it. (c) aware that you can stealth 90% of the encounters in this game.

The game prides itself on level interactivity and world building with the majority of puzzles being done through DOS computer commands (I genuinely want more games to do this) as well as the classic abundance of keycard/keypad code puzzles.

Never have I so desperately riled on microwave cooking to save me from dying after using a office stapler to staple my 10 gunshot wounds and I love Fortune's Run for it.

The soundtrack is also baller please buy it after you buy this game.

Buying the DLC bundle on steam triggers a bug that locks off all online features and the multiplayer with a "Redeem or Purchase Online Pass" message that can only be fixed by spending hours contacting bioware customer support.

It's best to go through the EA app to download each free DLC (if the app doesn't break on you while doing so.)
Genuinely a painful A$ 39.95 experience.
