Early Access Review
Game was incredibly unique in its gameplay loop, movement and combat style and general theme, but was entirely held together purely by the playerbase, as theres literally zero way to play the game solo or singleplayer. as there hasnt been any updates, most players have long since moved onto other games. leaving the game pretty much just a ghost town.

maybe at 90% off and checking to see if there are players online yeah sure, but you're just buying into a game that you'll wander around an empty city, drive around, slip and fall out a window and die. the soul that was the playerbase creating memorable moments and fun and exciting roleplay scenarios has long since abandoned post. this was one of those games "you just had to be there"

not to mention before it released on steam you had to navigate through an ARG style site, as if you were applying for a job at one of the ingame companies and if some of the limited keys were for sale, could actually buy the game and get to play. it was a unique experience through and through.

if you've got "the sims" girlies playing this for the interpersonal camp stories and not the entire main game. you know this game has its hooks into EVERYONE.

deserves every award it wins.

the change from OW to OW2 was such an unbelievable disaster. adding next to no new features, whilst removing a ton and throwing them behind paywalls. and f2p cash grab mechanics. nothing but blunder and misstep after misstep with overwatch. and scrapping the PVE mode which was the whole reason for OW2 is just laughable. there are better games to play then this. ESP in the f2p game sphere.

funnily enough, i'd now recommend Paladins over this even with how clunky and poorly managed that game is. atleast it didnt shoot its fanbase and players in the back of the head.

As a non fighting game gamer, i enjoyed the World tour mode (reminded me of old sport story mode games NBA ballers), alongside the modern control scheme being way more familiar and easier to quickly understand.

sucks it has denuvo, literally the only reason i bought it haha as i really didnt have a huge interest in anything outside of the singleplayer and modding.

while the game does seem to have alot going for it, it feels like who different styles of gameplays crashing into each other.

Stalker def works as a coop game, a PVP game not so much, esp with how "arcadey"it is done here. since theres no real threat of gear loss you can just int over and over and camp and waste other peoples time with little to no effort. while trying to do an early quest it had me going literally right through the enemy camp's choke point and i had to kill like 5-6 players who can just respawn maybe 15-30 seconds away while if i die its a 2+ min run back. ontop of that are the anomlies, something that works in a slow singleplayer rpg, but here you've got the oneshot little dust wisps that will suck you and instantly kill you literally just placed in the hundreds, like bordering on one every 10 feet at times. pretty much every other anomly works and is fair and has a decent amount of counter play, but they chose the wind succ to be the thing to litter all around the map. so now you've just died and have to run back for 2-3 minutes to your body and hope no one skimmed your loot that dropped. pvp kills dont help you progress towards weapon/armour upgrades because those items are dropped as bags you cant open and are meant to "ransom back to the player via the auction house" but more often that not your just despawning it out of spite. the scaling on the mats required skyrocket from like 8-22 to 111 per piece just from the first zone alone. so now you've got a massive grind on top of dealing with insta kill anomlies and pvp despawners. and then they make the mats need to be found via RNG with a metal detector, so now you running around aimlessly trying to gather spawns that only appear once you hear the detector ping. so the time it takes to get those mats goes up tenfold compared to every else that would be dropped from mob kills and the like.

overall the game could be good fun, but the constant running/instant deaths and dropped loot ruins the game. and i think if they removed or made the wind anomely not fully kill you, everything else would be something that could be dealt with. either make pvp kills drop the loot or remove the dropped loot entirely. decide if the games wants to be hardcore or not, half and halfing on the mechanic just makes both pvp/pve players dislike the system.
