I got a Dog that will bring you back from the Brink of Death. My Partner's got a Turret that spits Rockets. Get your Relic, jump into a world and kill monsters. Nuff Said.

Same reason everyone else downvotes this game. There is a core of unbelievable fun buried deep, deep in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. But with so many issues, and unfulfilled promises there's no possible way, in good conscience, to recommend this.

It's Aion. It looks like Aion, the same art style, same design, even the same icons. The difference is that you eventually gain a Mount to use for flying instead of earning wings. And the combat is 1/2 Aion combo button style, and 1/2 every other combat style in use currently by other mmo's. So it's nothing new for the genre. It aint bad, it aint good...it's just standard fare. But it's free, and it seems to handle just fine. They have shout filters so the spammers haven't bothered me at all. So if you want a free mmo that you've probably played something like before, then here you go. I will recommend it, simply because it's free and familiar.

First day...no servers on "server list." A little confusing to me. How can I select a server from an empty server list? Did you guys forget something? Check the news...Free to Play servers open in April. Hmmmm. Why can I DL a game that isn't open for another month? Maybe I'm just missing something about how games work nowadays. And yet I re-check the store page and right by the "Play" button is NO mention of having to wait another month. That just seems a bit misleading. But hey we'll call that my fault. However it foreshadows a lack of vision on the part of the developers. Many people playing their game will be morons, like me. So I can't recommend a game that doesn't quite have a handle on advertising the ACTUAL date of release.

Early Access Review
Oh Daybreak, you so greedy!

I picked up H1Z1 in it's first months of existence. And here we are a year later and somehow...someway not only is it STILL early access, but now it's 2 seperate games?!?! WTF Daybreak? lol Is this a joke? So it was supposed to be a finished product that was Free to Play. Now it's 2 unfinished games that they're charging $20.00 each for. Wow... And anyone that's played since the beginning has suffered through bugs, glitches, and a plethora of cheating losers. And after all that do they reward us by releasing the Free to Play game we were promised? Nope. Instead they dig the knife in a little deeper and try to wrangle a few more dollars out of a piece of garbage game.

Shame on you Daybreak. Shame on you.

EDIT
I've been logging in every couple of months just to see how it's going. So far I don't last more than 3 days without being hacked, or having people tracking me with scripts. So the cheating still hasn't stopped, and douchebaggery reigns supreme.

Edit 8/31/17
YOU HAVEN'T FIXED A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THING! After busting my ass for 8 hours buidling a small fully enclosed Stronghold I come back online to all my ♥♥♥♥ being looted EVEN THOUGH YOU SWEAR THAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN! So cheaters still reign supreme. Uninstalling again you worthless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ douchebags. You've done nothing but lie and lie, and stretch this piece of garbage programming to the limit. I hope you all get gangrene.

I'm loving this game!

First let me do some comparison. If you read the reviews you'll see alot of comparisons to L4D. And with good reason. 4 player squad fighting your way through hordes of enemies to go from A-B. Pretty simple. And like L4D there are hordes of standard, easily dispatched, mobs. With special enemies that closely resemble the specials from L4D. There are "events" that occur much like in L4D. In general the pace and flow of the game are the same.

The differences are in the nature of the RPG aspect of Vermintide. Instead of all the weapons being dispersed throughout the level Vermintide has permanent gear. So as you complete missions you have the oppurtunity to roll for new weapons and trinkets. And there is an added "Forge" where you can upgrade the gear to get even better stuff. However getting really good gear takes time and much grinding. There are 5 characters to choose from, each with their own sets of weapon types. And while each charater could be a general fighting class, the gear allows you to change up fighting styles so you can find a more comfortable niche to play through. I prefer the Witch Hunter with a Rapier, and Crossbow. But I could use a two-handed sword and dual pistols. You get the idea. So very much UNlike L4D, there is a sense of progessing your characters. If you are willing to put in the time for grinding at the "Normal" setting and moving up to "Hard" eventually, and more difficulty settings, then you will have something to show for it.

The level development is a delight for me. Straightforward enough so you don't get lost tryng to learn the levels, but with plenty of hidden closets, and alleyways containing the possiblity of support, or healing items. And the atmosphere for each level is dark and forboding. Perfect for the story setting. I also want to mention there are more levels than L4D. So even though you will be running the same levels eventually to grind for gear, there are enough levels so that they don't too old, too fast.

I've owned this game for less than a week, and I'm 20+ hours into it. I definitely see myself adding several hundred more.

I got all excited about Horizons. And that was my fault. At release I accepted the 10 yr plan. But after about 6 months I just couldn't get into it. Powerplay added a new facet to doing missions, but didn't really increase the fun of doing the same mission types I had already been doing. So I stopped playing but I keep it installed and updated. From time to time I log in, do some mining, collect a few bounties then log off. What I was hoping was that the Planetary Landing would provide more variety in the accomplishment of doing things. Like scouting mining sites for mineral deposits and making money off that. Or invading territory as a Merc. But it's just driving around and looking at rocks. Then someone told me I'd have to pay $50.00 for the expansion. Not 10, not 20, not 40, but $50. But if I hadn't bought it at release it would be $50 and include the expansion. So I'm being charged more for playing your game earlier? I don't understand.
