the game is good but i'm left feeling pretty hollow about the outcomes of my playthroughs. i've either been couped or lost in war 3 times now, my family murdered and my character left an empty shell of a human being. i've run out of steam for enjoyment of the game. there doesn't seem to be much guidance in terms of what the outcomes of your actions will achieve. apparently the devs don't favour social democracy because i've never been able to achieve a market economy with social safety nets.

the only thing that would make this better is if it had a multiplayer mode, i'm honestly addicted

The game has a lot of fun elements, but the entire thing is built around FUT mode which is extremely pay to win. If you decide to play without paying anything you have to grind like a mad man. Your job as a FUT player who spends no extra money is to be a bot for players who have spent hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars to beat up on. This gives the whales a big ego boost, dopamine hit and validates their spent money.

Can you make a good team without spending money? Yes. But you've got to accept that the game is rigged from the start. You're gonna vs tons of people who pour their disposable income into the game year after year.

I must say, it is pretty satisfying to beat the whales with an inferior team, though.

Game's mechanics are pretty good. Only downside is that if you aren't in NA the ping is pretty atrocious. I can't play OLine for the life of me because of my Australian ping, blocking is super hard.

Quickplay makes the game so much easier to drop into and enjoy. Love it!

A fun little auto-clicker-esque game. Minigames, which level up your character, can get fun and intense. The combat has just the right amount of interactivity, with abilities, magic and ranged attacks.

One thing I kind of wish though, is that you get to choose/build your character in a specific way that will restrict other things. Think like Path of Exile's character build system. This would increase replayability, as you create multiple characters to test builds out. You could also include a multiplayer aspect, like PoE does, with seasons and rankings, etc. That would bring the game into the next level.

The reason I say this is because the way the game currently works is that you basically have access to everything: melee, magic, ranged, tankiness. You just level them all up and your character can do everything. The only difference between one character and the next is what items you are using and that's it.
