The atmosphere of this game alone is incredible - the Bayou makes a great environment for gunfights with lots of cover, water, etc. The sound aspect of the game is great - the dread when you hear someone jingle past a bunch of hanging cans is truly palpable. But my favorite part is the gunplay. With these old-timey guns, gun play feels much more chaotic and real - you can just run in guns blazing - you have to be much more strategic and conniving - outposition your opponents, tricks and traps. And the PVE aspects are an actual threat which makes it that much more fun - even if you don't manage to encounter any hunters and they extract without you, it's still fun to fight the monsters. 10/10

Very fun and gritty realism. You run into a lot of morally ambiguous real life situations and it's really compelling.

Best game I've played in a long time - truly innovative game play. They managed to successfully bring stealth to competitive multiplayer in a very polished way. And the tone and vibe is simultaneously gruesome but somehow... kind of funny? After playing the game enough you get past the horror of it too (which is really well done and you will probably pee yourself your first 20 or so rounds as survivor) so it kind of stops being a "horror" game which is actually kind of nice. I feel like a lot of horror games trade on the shock and horror of the subject matter at the expense of game play - this game definitely does not. It brings all the shock and horror, but the game play is absolutely front and center.

Can't recommend enough.

It's Counter-Strike. It's the best online multiplayer FPS ever. That's all.
