Excellent story, believable acting, and truly lewd cat girls kept me interested.

Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dreadful.

This really brings me back to the firefight feeling of Day of Defeat Source mixed with the "I have no idea where he is" from something like Arma, well, maybe not as extreme. Sitting behind a truck as you struggle for cover while bullets bounce off every surface is something that this game does very right. When bullets hit the clinking noise as well as the effect are terrifying and immersive, as well as the echoed gunshots.

Gunplay is another thing this game has gotten very, very right. The way hip-firing doesn't just shoot straight ahead but you can adjust it to fire slightly to the edges of your screen, recoil and screen shaking, and the sheer volume of the weapons compared to other things make gunplay extremely satisfying and challenging. Landing a hip shot as you burst into a room of a guy standing in a dark corner of the room, destroying the counter that was right behind him and watching all the bottles and pots that were on it go flying is the coolest thing.

And the sheer size and scale of the maps, but the way they are focused make for dynamic, tense and altered gameplay without it getting boring or leaving you saying "I just want something to happen" is a feet within itself.

This is one of the best multiplayer FPS games I've gotten my hands on in a while, and for 15$ that kind of quality is nothing to pass up. I'd recommend this game if it was a 30$ title.

While I can understand some of the disdain surrounding this game at it's current state, I've already had my fair share of fun out of my 30$ purchase. DayZ is, and always has been a story-creating game, and I've already had my fair share of stories. While there may not be as many zombies, it's the people I meet and the way they act that keeps me coming back to DayZ. It's the weight that every human encounter carries. Hours of looting and scavenging, traveling, and pain staking hiding can all boil down to if the person on the other end is having a bad day, and when you're the one holding the gun, knowing that maybe it might be best to make the person surrender, hand cuff them, and let them go may be the best choice, gives a lot of weight to the gameplay through genuine humane emotion instead of implmented gameplay mechanics.

I guess what I'm ultimately trying to say is that while DayZ may not be a completed game at the moment, it still has it's signature free-form gameplay that makes it entertaining as hell to play, and nothing right now is bad enough to stop that experience from being worth the money.

While I'm sure this is a fantastic game, it doesn't appear to want to run. So I don't appear to want to reccommend it.

Sometimes, when I play this game I feel like, well, I feel like I'm wasting my life doing something I'll never be good enough to play at a decently competitive level, and then other times I unlock weapon skins.
