Gorgeous pixel art, innovative combat with great use of spells and the unit roster is just varied enough to feel engaging going into a battle. Hoping for more post-launch goodies if they develop them, I'm buying

I fail to see what all the fuss is about, requires very little to no thinking to beat the puzzles, just looking around for the answer, its just there, on a piece of paper, or in some form of pictograph.
Maybe I expected more from an escape room having never gone to one :\


EDIT: (replying to dev): I do not apreciate your sass, yes I do know that, no the clue printing buttons are not a part of my complaint, the rooms were completed without them, you have many papers lying around, and books, and those are not a part of the hint system. Its worse than putting an X on the map with GPS coordinates. I just thought puzzles were made for thinking, instead I'm playing match-2.

ED2: I can't search by author also I don't associate this game as an example where the true value is from community content, so my review stands.

Its hard not having a more neutral option, if your on the fence, I say try it, it might be good for you. Though for me its a bit of a disappointment.

The new camera angle makes some fights unaproachable without being blind to some corners.

Classes lack identity sometimes both visual and mechanical, disconnecting you from just looking at generic robot

Old enemies feel lifeless, bland and unrecognizable at times, though props for the new bike and dog ones

The pixel art appeal of the first one is lost

The new damage model is both overtuned and unnoticeable during gameplay, you'll still just point and shoot with what you got all the same, though you will feel weaker here in general with the same kind of weapons you could have in S1.

Lacks variety and the extreme examples of guns and items in S1.

The visual flare of guns and items from S1 is gone.

The audio seems close in its quality and lifelike design, though still a bit off. S1 had heavier, more chunky sounds to guns, magazine reloads, you name it.

Completed a campaign with a smile, it was good and it even got more updates and calixous assassins now and ♥♥♥♥. Recomend

I've had this anticheat before, no big deal in years. I used to play DMO and from what I see even PUBG has it so that point is moot for me.

No crashes yet.

"Battlepass" weapon unlocks seem fine if you can farm the new one as it comes out in a reasonable amount of time, we'll see.

Gotta say, its very true to the trailers, the ambiance, the volumetric fog and lights, its a looker for sure.

Sad to say many of the staples are missing, no mechs or vehicle stratagems so far.

My advice? If you're on the fence, wait a few months, see if they announce good ♥♥♥♥ (like the missing 3rd faction) and check the development progress. Though for 40 bucks, if you slash that with a discount its a good pick, just don't expect to play the entire breath of content solo, quickplay or having friends to come along is THE way to play.

EDIT: New team you have to buy NOW throught the battle pass or lose it. Free option forces you to finish an 80 day at most battle pass. Enjoy your new job, with multiple daily matches to keep up.
Do you want the lizardmen? Too bad you didn't buy the game before today, so no Lizards for you.
After a few more matches some bugs crop up. Most heinous is a bug where if one of the players lets their turn timer reach close to 0 an "emergency" tune starts playing and won't stop until the end of the half or match. Its really irritating, imagine playing Sonic with the drowning theme on the entire game.


Seems to be stable. Still lacks many options and customizations such as tournament management and teams.
A downgrade in terms of free customization of teams, in previous BB you could choose from a few different options for each player, now you have NONE out of the box.
Still think the cash shop for cosmetics isn't worth spending your own money.
Concerned if they are going to force you into playing a battle pass to earn new teams
