i really tried to like this game. its all loading screens and tedium.

this game seems to be purposefully designed to be frustrating and tedious. cool idea, nice atmosphere, absolutely not fun to play. a real shame, i really want to like this game

tech demo / day 1 project levels of completion. beyond janky, no gameplay to be had yet.

considering the price ($0) still not worth it, at this state.

dislikes: if you are in a ♥♥♥ mood, this game can really exacerbate it.

likes: literally everything else.

whatever they are asking, buy this game. strong community, a ridiculous amount of replayability, and so much room for creative solutions to emergent situations.

you will never 100% this game going in blind. but i do suggest your first couple deaths you go in blind. learn as you go, roguelike style. eventually looking things up is necessary if you want to explore all of the secrets, or really powerful combinations, or find all the bosses and whatnot.

i didnt mean to type this much, this game deserves the love though. i am 609 hours in, have only 'beaten the tutorial' once or twice. i still play every day, and am still learning little tricks and interactions every day.

tl;dr: buy this game, it is good.

so close to being good

basic things very wrong (cant move backwards, rebinding keys doesn't stick)
yesterday i tried to play, and could harvest wood.
today i cannot (harvest wood).

this game has a nice atmosphere, but is unplayable

STILL IN THE SAME STATE... I SEE THEY HAVE UPDATED BUT ALL OF THE ABOVE STILL APPLIES, PLUS I CANNOT OPEN MENU ONCE IN GAME.

broken for me, stuck in the tutorial start. cant log in... window opens then immediately disappears. then the button to log-in changes effect to 'maximize volume'.

a lot of detail and care went into this game and it shows. the controls can be a little weird, same with the camera... still totally worth it. especially because the problems are easy UI fixes, not fundamental issues.

100% not fun if you have to do things on the waters edge

changed review to recommended. this game is not what i was looking for, but has enough merit on its own to be worth it. simple, replayable, hard.
