It's mostly good. Mostly. So many bugs n' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that'll drive you insane.

-Explosions pull you forward
-Fire will almost instantly kill you
-Seriously, if you step on a blade of grass that's on fire, you'll die
-Even if you wait until after the fire goes away and then step forward, you'll still catch on fire and die
-If you're overrun and you're quickly trying to pick up your stuff from your corpse, chances are you'll just end up juggling between your dropped primary and your equipped primary.
-Your guy will automatically scale every 4-foot structure you touch, potentially putting you into the line of fire or cancelling out the heal you tried to do while running
-On the other hand, if you run into a 6-inch tall obstacle, you might have some trouble getting over it
-Leaves and trees are indestructible, you can not shoot through them
-Sometimes you'll just explode and have no idea why

It's a good game, a bit wonky but definitely a very solid $2 purchase. Second dungeon boss we did took us about 10 minutes to whittle him down to dead, but after a couple failed dungeon runs and blowing our loads at the weapon shop, I was able to take down the 3rd boss in 10 seconds. We went through the whole game seeing all these spots where we could use bombs or dig up something using a shovel, but we never figured out how to get those UNTIL after we had already beaten the final boss. The dude that we get all the tools from was in a starter area that we apparently never revisited. So now we're just running through the map again, looking for the secrets and side missions for no good reason.

Oh one cool thing this game does is the dungeons are randomized, and seeing how we get puzzle rooms designed for 2 people, I assume you get different puzzle rooms depending on how many people you're playing with.

It's stupid, but scratches that grindy RPG itch, mining for mats, making a set of gear, moving on to the next biome, grinding for mats, making a set of gear, moving on to the next biome. There is a small selection of rare loot that you have a chance to find in the chests with an additional possibility of enhanced stats on found gear, so that's neat. Dungeons are, for better or worse, randomly generated, so you'll never see the same dungeon twice n' every one is equally forgettable. One annoying aspect to this is that there are many many rooms completely buried behind walls of stone. You can dig in any direction and be guaranteed to run into one of these spaces. I'd like to be able to leave a dungeon knowing I didn't miss any chests or secret treasure rooms.

You'll experience the whole game with 5 minutes of gameplay. Just murdering an endless flow of green zombies (and some fat exploding zombies) that walk in a set pattern. Once you buy an automatic weapon it's over, just stand in one spot moving the mouse side to side. The only way to die in this game is willful negligence or from falling asleep.

I enjoy this game, I keep coming back to it but I tend to very quickly get burnt out on it, especially playing as a pure melee looter that can't deal with bosses. Just mindlessly running through buildings going from room-to-room murdering n' looting everything. 1 cool thing in this game is, there are child zombies to murder. Another cool thing about this game, zero child survivors. Some minor gripes I've got with the game:

- The outpost attacks last for 20 minutes with a siren blaring the whole time. The siren I don't mind, but on some days 20 minutes is just too long for me to deal with slaughtering endless waves of zombies. After it's over I'll be burnt out n' switch to another game despite the limited time buff that I just got for doing the event.

- Every room in the game will have 1-2 lootable spots, doesn't matter if it's a tiny room with 3 zombies or a giant room with 15 of them and I highly doubt there's any change in the quality to the looting spots either

- If a zombie has, let's say, 10 health and you're dishing out 40, it'll always have a chance of faking it's death n' start crawling after you soon after. I dunno, I just feel this whole mechanic is unnecessary.

Mine to craft, craft to mine, mine to craft, craft to mine, etc. etc. Many many hours are to be had here of slowly progressing, slowly building up your base, upgrading your gear, and it all feels and operates pretty nicely. Unfortunately for myself and my crew, progression has ended. We're still playing, but now we're just gathering materials to fill our stock, needlessly building up our bases, slaughtering villages for the hell of it, trying to find quirky weird ♥♥♥♥ to do and make, and I fear that when new content does get released that we'll be overly prepared and just breeze through it. At the moment there really isn't a lot of content in it, but the way the game makes you travel and grind to progress, it makes what it has last so long, and the game is so addictive that you can spend an entire afternoon in the game and when you turn around to look at the clock you find that it's been 3 weeks, your wife left you, your dog died of starvation, your sitting in a pool of your own secretions, and the only reason you even looked at the clock in the first place was because the power went out from you not paying your power bill on time. A+, would grind again.

I somehow failed to enjoy this game at all, I was just bored from beginning to end. I might be broken.

This guy blows, just play the same hand full of levels over n' over for an eternity and hope the game doesn't ♥♥♥♥ you over via one of it's many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanics. The obstacle courses are all a joke, perfect match is a complete waste of time, I don't know how anyone dies on the roll out level without people actively throwing each other off a ledge, the tail-grab game is a broken piece of ♥♥♥♥, there's no easy way to report hackers, the shop items are overpriced, and there are just so so many ways for the game (and other players) to make you lose in an infuriating fashion. You could spend all day trying to win just one game and if/when you finally do you get one measly crown, which amounts to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when there are costumes that cost 10. There is no fun to be had here.

It's good for what it is, and I don't like this kind of ♥♥♥♥. My mistake for letting my kid pick which game of mine I should play. Took me 2.5 hours and probably over 500 deaths to beat this ♥♥♥♥. Very frustrating, never playing anything like this ever again. ♥♥♥♥.
