Structure:
Day and night cycle, time is spent in turn based mission arenas and in the abbey. I am 119 hours in and I am still unlocking mechanics via research

Gameplay:

Split between the non combat abbey(research,relationships, gathering materials, unlocking chests, collectables, light puzzle solving,lore, training and sparring,material conversion, unattended solo hero missions\tasks) and combat based arena missions(turn based, card based, mission by mission adjustable difficulty)

I recommend to always be researching I am still unlocking new mechanics(forge research) even with this many hours in, I am still getting things to unlock that benefits to combat and the various resources you get.

Graphics:
They are good for this style of game and given all of the customisation and collection options you will find something to like. The art team as a tongue in cheek approach to some of the clothes.

Conclusion:

You can play the super serious, super silly, or something in between any or all of the heroes you can get between the base game and the dlc you will have lots to things to do. If the mechanics above appeal, there is a lot of game here, a niche but sleeper title for folks given it can be paused on the steam deck with little problem.

it is fun online co-operative campaign it does not advertise on steam and I am unsure why. Locations are nice in all times of day. Great sale pickup.

Played tekken on and off for years, and when on sale its certainly a fun game to have with friends, havent run into a ton of online problems, but that wasnt the focus.

So much love found in the crafting of this game, the stories you can find the characters you meet, really takes it back to that old school explore feel. Also you can play this with a friend. I have not delved to far into the game at 12 hours in, but this has been entirely in coop mode, which has run beatifully . If you wanted a game very similiar to pillars of eternity in style and wanted to play with friends, its a great time.

This is probably the closest a game has come to allowing a pen and paper rpg move to a game you can play with friends online

Great game, you can see where they had a smaller budget then some other games, but they combat is satisfying, story is enjoyable. Well worth the price. Check out the game and enjoyable the crazy anime alternate ww2 story.

This game is fantastic, a testament to sandbox rpgs , the modding community has been fantastic.


My negative review comes from the horribly implemented paid mods option found in steam workshop, simply use skyrim nexus. Until an overhaul of the paid DLC system is done, I give this game a negative review on steam.

***edit***With the removal of paid mods ( I assume to review the implementation of the paid mods formula) this game then goes to a high recommend, you simply cant go wrong.

I really wanted to like this game. But a myraid of bugs quickly halted my progress. The premise is fun most certainly. But the framework for that fun needs quite a bit of work. I do not think the game should have been available on steam as a released game. This really qualifies as an "early access" offering. At this point you would have more enjoyment playing games in this genre that offer multiplayer, this would offset your loss progress with a communal experience.

Verdict: Not recommended. It simply does not feel "finished"
