I've played a good number of traditional roguelikes and this is the best. The straightforward mechanics will be easy to learn for anyone comfortable with RPGs but it has so many deep, interlocking systems that I cannot imagine becoming bored with it. Its sci-fi setting is weird and evocative, the tileset is beautiful, and the text and dialogue are wonderful. One of my favorite games.

Probably the most compelling tactical/operational level wargame I've played. Difficult to learn but must play if you are into complex sims.

Supreme Commander on a sphere. It's very good, a little crashy.

One of the best shooters ever made. Very player-hostile, frustrating and not always "fun" but incredibly rewarding and unique.
