Gameplay is great. It feels so much closer to MKX than MK11, and not so jarring as to alienate the MK11 guys. I've been having a ton of fun with the new combo structuring and despite all the barking, the game is adequately balanced (this review has been written after the "player 1 advantage" patch). If you're an NRS guy, you'll absolutely find some enjoyment in this game, and it is worth the $70 base asking price.

That being said, this is a terrible launch in terms of quality of life stuff that should be readily available in 2023. I'm particularly bummed out about the lack of cross-platform functionality. NRS said it'd be there, and now i'm scared as a PC player that I won't be able to play with the friends who i've told I would be able to play with. While this is a personal issue, it feels very bait-and-switch-y to me and i'd imagine a lot of the fighting game community. The online portion of this game, at the time of writing this review, is absolutely abhorrent. No lobbies, not queuing for matches while in the lab, no way to find who that last guy you played was to add him as a friend on steam. F*ck, not even so much as a search bar for private matchmaking. They throw out all of your steam friends (not just the ones who own the game, literally all of them), and don't even so much as alphabetize the list. As a guy with 100's of steam friends, this can be a frustrating experience.

What world are we living in when Capcom has one of the best launches of a fighting game of all time, and NRS drops the ball? I'm confident that these QoL issues will eventually be resolved. When that happens, I will have no complaints.

I always enjoyed fighting games, but Tekken 7 has made me a fighting game player. Definitely recommended as one of the most difficult to get into, yet rewarding games out there.

If you like Metroidvanias, this is one of the best. Scratches that Symphony of the Night itch real good.

It's Fallout 4. If you enjoy enjoyment, I'd recommend this game. I can't think of a reason not to buy this game. Sell a kidney, if you have to.

Story was extraordinarilly disapointing, but the gameplay is so good that I have no choice but to recomend this game. I don't normally say this, but it is well worth the $60 price tag that comes with AAA titles.

Loadout has got to be one of the best Free To Play games out on Steam today. Insanely fun fast-paced gameplay and highly customizable weapons give this game a refreshing take on what meta gameplay can be. If you're into UT, Quake, or any twitch shooter, really, then there's something for every play style. Also, and I cannot stress this enough, the F2P model is the best i've ever seen. THIS IS NOT A P2W GAME! The only thing money gets you is cosmetics. That, in itself, makes this worth picking up.

If you do decide to try it out, use my bro code here:

It'll give you and I a 10% exp boost in games that we play together.
