Do not touch this thing until they've fixed the performance issues. Despite claims to the contrary, they HAVE NOT fixed the stuttering or the crashing. The game seems decent when it runs, but it's far too frustrating to have it stutter and hang in the middle of cutscenes with mediocre graphics when the combat cycle of the game not only looks better, but runs better too. Almost half my playtime is spent waiting for the game to catch up and finish playing the cutscenes it's failing to play properly. Voices don't sync with the video and it catches every 5-10 seconds. I could skip them and not know what's going on, but I didn't pay $70 for that.

Phenomenal entry into a 'Tarkov-like' genre for people who prefer single player games. Slow paced and tense, frantic action with a slow, steady progression system. As the game promises, you will die, yet you will not feel it random or unfair if you do.

Beautiful game world with a unique art style. Was worried the game would be 'too difficult' given its Souls heritage, but while I've found parts of it frustrating, it has been worlds more enjoyable for me than any of the Dark Souls games ever were. This is a game where you can stop on a hilltop, look out in the distance, spot something cool and think, "I want to go see what's over there!" and do just that. If you love exploration without artificial boundaries and 'main quests' trying to shove themselves in your face, then this might be a game for you. I have 30 hours in and still haven't so much as bothered with the first 'main story boss' and yet have found plenty to do to keep my interest, many ways to build up my character and improve, and several optional bosses that were within my means to beat.

Love the game, wish Steam would let me buy gift copies for people and support charity at the same time but Valve is too lazy to just show and let me pay the higher price of another region I'm trying to send to.

Another one of those games that insists on forcing you to play it the way they want you to. Required PVP to progress story, required group PVE to progress story. I'd have been plenty happy if they just let me play the game alone like I wanted to, but since Bungie isn't interested in that, I'm not interested in their game.

Absolute trash. 9 hours listed, 8 of them in menu trying to connect. The one time I managed to get connected and not get booted proved the game utterly uninteresting. The graphics and art style are cute, but that's about the only positive to the game. The rest was a slog. Gameplay feels unresponsive, skills are boring, skill trees too basic.

Do not buy this game if you enjoyed the previous Torchlights. It is not worthy of the name.
