Had some good promise but was basically dropped by the devs before it was in a finished state.

Nice and classic-style 4X game that has a good amount of depth and continued support and updates by the developer. More than a few late nights fell victim to 'Just one more turn'

While the base game itself is a pretty good one, the real strength and longevity comes from all of the mods available and the support that has been provided for them. Be it new factions, races, or even eldrich horrors, there's a lot of ways to keep it fresh and enjoyable.

Until the spiders come.

While it is unfortunate that they will no longer be pushing updates through, the game itself is certainly one that can eat up hours and hours of your time. Definitely worth trying on sale, and if you really enjoy more meaty and brutal turn based games it's a good buy at any time.
