Okay, so, sometimes you need to scratch the itch of slower-paced FPS that rewards thinking and more controlled movement.

This game provides that, and even though it's gotten some updates that change some aspects of that, the core model maintains it.

The sound and gore are fun, with headshots in particular being a very rewarding ping sound.

If you really participate in a squad, you can have unique and rewarding experiences like:

"We pushed into the point alone, other squads trying to flank or defending the last point. Burnt trees and flames spread around as we settled into defensive positions as the tracker indicated a slow progression into turning it over.

They started sporadic at first, random defenders coming to investigate only to be picked off one-by-one. But soon, the squad was defending against 2 to 3 squads under artillery fire. Getting reliable shots, having squad call-outs, reliable medic, and good respawn placement allowed us to survive until the team came to back us up after a solid 10 minutes of heavy action."

That all being said, it takes some time to get used to seeing players, the starting experience is very difficult coming from most other FPS games outside of players used to hardcore 1-shot servers of various games. Most of the time squads can be mediocre, and having a solid commander giving up their FPS experience for the teams benefit is hard.

But really, it's a unique game in a field of twitch FPS or the constant pressure of looter shooters.
