I don't own this game at all but it looks fun! I'm not sure how I am able to review a game I never played. 10/10.

I played this game (during free weekend) for over 3 hours straight. I was enjoying it until I died fighting an animal. That's fine. It happens in these games. No big deal. I just will respawn and grab my backpack.

The game respawned me back in my base, but on top of my active campfire. It respawned me literally in my campfire in my base. I ran out of the base trying to shake off the fire but eventually died due to the fire - and lost all of my equipment I dropped earlier (that I was going to retrieve from the first time I died). This was incredibly frustrating, but fine. I'll just harvest and build my backpack and stuff back up.

Guess where I respawned after THAT death? Right immediatly back on the same f campfire. This time, it BURNED MY ENTIRE BASE DOWN.

I noped out of this game and uninstalled. I am not about to rebuild my entire base and recollect absolutely everything. Devs, you owe me money for the hole I punched in the wall.

0/10

Unlike some of you maniacs and lazy bones', I started The Witcher games from the beginning. After 1, then 2, now 3? This is like 2 on steroids opened up to a thousand hours and a thousand miles of travel.

The game is great. I hate that I can't organize the inventory and shop screens though. Geralt still moves like crap even with the new mechanics, and it is showing it's age now. With that said, I love it and would pay 10k Orens for this game again.

I also love the throwbacks to the first games. This is the most immersed I've ever felt with a game and I look forward to playing more. I stop and read every single book and glossary item I find. I am going to read the books next.

70 hours in and I have yet to even leave Novigrad. I love it.

Preface: I havenever played The Witcher III yet because I am not a weirdo who starts a rich lore-filled franchise game at the end without starting from where it all came from and the beginning.

This game is 100x deeper in all aspects than Witcher 1. I'm enjoying it a lot. I looked up "How long to Beat" on this game and it says 24hours, and no. If you can beat this game in 24 hours, you are either the fastest speed-reader or don't care about the lore. This game is going to take me 50+ hours and I am going to take my time because that is exactly what CDPR would want from this game.

Gameplay and combat is 100x better than 1. Animations and graphics 100x better than 1. UI and menu system 92x better than 1.

If you are not one of the randos that played a 3rd game in the series first and went from 1 to 2, like numbers work, you will love the upgrades in this game. CDPR shows a LOT of improvement in their skills and company with this game.

I am only on act 2 at the time of this post, but I can see I may have to completely replay this again based off my choices from act 1. I love that and I will probably play again due to that.

I look forward to Witcher III after this, but man, I am 100% glad I started with 1, now 2, and going forward. I should have read the books first, but that's ok. I have them on my Amazon wishlist. Geralt is the MAN. This game is alpha and doesn't care who knows it. The men and women in this game are completely awesome and I can't wait to see what happens with these kingslayers.

This feels like a 50+ hour move I am driving and I would tell anyone coming off Witcher 1 here; If you enjoyed WItcher 1, this game is that on steroids in all forms. It's great. I recommend this one very much. Here is hoping Witcher III goes well beyond this raving review!

Nice little 2-3 hour indie horror game. Graphics looks great, story is pretty mehh, but man, the voice acting needs some work lol

This seems to be a "To be continued..." ending so hopefully we see another follow-up. Not bad for an indie company and I enjoyed my quick time with it. I have no idea if I got the good or band ending, but I'm going to go with that I got the bad ending. At least I think there's multiple endings.

The story revolves around a father looking to find his daughter from one lunatic who likes to skin folks and the other has some really big beef with the main character's wife, the detective of the police department.

I am really pretty easily scared with horror games, but this one wasn't that hard to play for me. The atmosphere was probably the spookiest part other than the jump scares. Graphics do look great. It's a walking sim with a very occasional throw mechanic so don't expect much action. I just wish the running was better optimized, but it's fine.

I still have absolutely no idea what I was doing with a bird cage at one point. I'm not sure I will ever know.

First time in a long time I went full completion with a Sonic game. I had a fun time - but with that said, this game is JANKY. It's a good first attempt and a good game, but man, they need to up their game, literally, for the sequel. Sega needs better devs.

PROS:
• Moving around is fun as heck and you can tear through the island at your own leisure and speed - in an open world environment for the first time!
• "Cyber Worlds: were fun, classic 2D and 3D sonic levels and I had a lot of fun 100% completing each world.
• No annoying side characters - other than the big cat who likes fishing.
• Lots of stuff to do, collectibles, areas to explore.
• A deeper story here than "Sonic fight Egg Man!"
• Pretty stabile game for the most part. DIdn't crash once.
• Wasn't sure where to put this - the combat is sufficient. First time I've seen sonic rack up combo attacks and special abilities - but it's still missing something I can't quite put my finger on.

CONS:
• The game is just janky as heck. There are so many dang frustrating moments with controls that make this game infuriating to play through at times. Some areas lock you into a 2D view IN AN OPEN WORLD GAME.
• "Open World" but broken into 5 segments, so, kind-of open world. Would have been nice to see a Breath of the Wild giant world.
• The game is LOCKED AT 60FPS! How is this acceptable for a PC game? I tried modding it but I gave up and just played with the 60FPS.
• The big cat didn't have his frog with him which was incredibly disappointing. The fishing part of this game also just consists of "Press A" - not really all that creative.
• Power-ups were 100%'d pretty early in the game for me and so a lot of collectibles were useless midway through.
• It got repetitive pretty fast. All 5 worlds consist of essentially the same exact thing x4. Would have been nice to switch things up a bit more. 'Go to new world > locate XYZ > fight boss > go to next world > repeat.' - minus maybe the 4th world which consisted of about 6 towers only.

Overall, the game is fun, but it feels like a newbie team made this. You'd think Sega would have all-star programmers and designers at this point, but not really.

Lastly, I hate the 3rd island with a passion.

Final Verdict: 7 out of 10

I should preface this review by saying that I am someone who has never played the original release of these games and I have nothing to compare this version to.

Also, I'm not sure if this matters, but I set the Steam launcher to use DirectX12. If you have bugs or issues, add "-dx12" to the launcher options. I read that this brings better stability. I've had that launcher tag from the beginning and I've had zero issues with the game.

QUALITY: I've had zero crashes, zero bugs, or any weird glitches in my current [edit] 20+ hours of play-through. If the game was very buggy on release, then I'm either not noticing it now, it's been patched, or it hasn't impacted anything on my play-through. The frame rate has also remained at a steady 140fps with all max settings enabled. I have an older i7 7700-k and a 3070 Ti. I've had little to no frame rate issues. The quality has been pretty excellent in all honesty.

GRAPHICS: I don't know much about the old games at all, but the graphics are fine. It's cartoony, I guess, but it looks good and it's sharp. It's not some realistic blockbuster 2023 mega-title game, but it looks fine for what it is. I have no issues with the graphics and I think they look good. It feels more of an artistic choice then it is at a realism attempt. It almost feels like a cartoon - almost.

GAMEPLAY: It's dated for sure, but it's serviceable. It would be nice to be able to run and aim a gun! I guess that would be too complex for Rockstar? I use a mix of keyboard and mouse + a Switch Pro controller and have had no issues with controls. A couple things I wish were a little better, but not really a huge deal. The gameplay is pretty dated. That's probably the only major complaint.

STORY: I can't tell you if there really is one? Seems like I am a paid mercenary that broke out of jail and is now just running jobs jumping from one faction to another, betraying some and then working with others. I guess? It's fine. It's pretty bare bones and I couldn't tell you who the main character is or why he's even here.

SOUND: This one is a little iffy for me. The dialogue is hard to hear and it especially sounds pretty low quality compared to literally everything else in the game. I've had to toggle the sound volumes to get the right mix between horrible dialogue, music and effects. I don't know why the dialogue originally sounded like it was made through a potato. I also have absolutely no clue what the old radio songs were in the original, but I do know I enjoy the stations and music I hear in this version. There's some great music and fun radio chatter.

FINAL VERDICT: I keep saying this, but I've never played the old games. I feel like a LOT of the reviews are from people that are not like me. I'd probably feel similar if I actually enjoyed these years ago - but I haven't. This is my first play-through of GTA III and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

The game is not exactly perfect, but I'm having a really fun time with it. I've had little to no technical problems. If you've never played the older games like me, you'll probably enjoy it too. I was hesitant to pick this up due to the mixed reviews. I'm happy I bought this on sale though and I don't think I'd pay full price.

7 out of 10 with no technical issues on my play-through.

I have mixed opinions. I shouldn't have to track down a custom Reddit thread with a great dude that created custom DLL files that will stop Ubisoft from prompting me about online connectivity every single time I pause the game. Seriously, without doing this, every single time you pause the game you will have to wait 40 seconds until a timeout. This is absolutely unacceptable for a single player game.

Click this link to find the fix Until Ubi fixes this server connection error issue....

Other than that, if you spent any real time in Far Cry 3, then this game throws you right into a Cyber Punk-esque future version of the same exact island that resulted in if the 1980's never ended and kept going.

As far as the game itself, at the start, the game will basically throw you into a fully equipped, "expected to know how to play already", ready to go + we're-sure-you've-played-FarCry3- and-know-how-to-play-already game and you'll just pickup from there and run with it. This is not a new game, basically. This is an "expansion pack" - for those dinosaurs like me who know what that term means. It's not really a new game and uses the same exact assets, just remixed.

I've seen folks call this "DLC" but Idk about that since I can read the Steam store page and nowhere on here does it say "DLC", so apparently folks don't understand how Steam works or don't know what DLC means.

If you've enjoyed FC3, then you will have a fun time with this. It's a short little 80's future romp with Far Cry 3's engine and Duke Nukem's AMERICA F YEAH one liners that takes place on 1 island.

It's worth noting that my game crashed a lot with FC3 and this game seems to run smoother. I'm seeing a lot less techincal issues. The story is also ok but this is pretty much just all balls to the wall action packed Far Cry 3 fun reimagined. It's good, but read my first paragraph if you don't want to be annoyed constantly every time you boot the game.

How do I disable Ubi connect? Every time I access the pause menu I get a failure to connect screen. Unplayable. 0.5/10.

I've never really played the Far Cry games ever and decided to go for it from order of release date. This is now obviously the 2nd one I've ever played.

Far Cry 1 was an old school sci-fi romper with super mutants and science labs, so I played most of this game asusming and waiting for mutants or aliens to appear, but alas, there were no aliens or weird stuff going on - just basic war factions and country rivalries.

GRAPHICS:
I completely forgot this game was old as it's pretty dang beautiful. They did a great job and I would have not have guessed it was this old. Add a ReShade like I did and it's even more beautiful-er.

GAMEPLAY:
It's alright. The guns go shooty shoot like they should and there's a good variety out there. I could go without the jams, but the fix is simple: don't pick up used old ace guns! The driving is fun, although I wish it had a 3rd person view like the first one.

STORY:
I'm like 20 hours in and I still am not really sure what's going on other than that I seem to be a paid merc who was allowed to live by another paid merc. And I am just making money doing missions by whomever pays me? I guess the main story is "Who will you help be in control of this African country?" - I honestly am not sure. It's fine though. Some are good, some are bad, some are neutral. I have no idea if my character is a "good guy".

PROS:
• Graphics are pretty dang good
• Guns feel good to shoot
• Lots of open world space and things to do
• Feels good to upgrade the weapons and earn that CASH
• The diamond collectathons are addicting

CONS:
• Takes forever to travel anywhere, even with the bus stations. You have to drive A LOT.
• Missions can be somewhat boring and repetitive
• Enemy bases and enemies respawn WAY too quick and it's a PITA to travel through them to get to your destination. You pretty much have to stop everytime to kill them since they will chase you.
• Bad guys shoot through walls?

Like I said, I only ever played FarCry 1 to this point so this game is a heck of an upgrade. I have no idea if FarCry 3 through 6 are better or more story focused. This game just feels like an African mission based merc to-do list in an open world setting.
